mk1995 wrote:Whoops... I didn't consider that one. It's just that PR 0.6 is the one currently on my computer and since it's nowhere to be found on Princed.org (only the Princed Resource Manager, which doesn't seem to do anything), I decided to upload what I had. I really did not know there was an even newer version...!

PR unofficial fix (and newest version, I think)
May I suggest you edit your first post in this thread and change the link from 0.6 to that "PR unofficial fix" version on David's website? Since the normal 1.1 and 1.2 versions of PR cannot be downloaded from princed.org, maybe also add this link. It is quite amazing that http://www.princed.org/downloads/ does not have a download for PR itself. What makes it even stranger is that it does have a PR section there, but it only contains an old GUI and the section even starts with a PR 0.1 precessor(!). Wow, painful.

Made the link in my first post lead to PoPOT's PR-page.

Just to make something clear: I will not reply to daft PMs like "Where can I find X?" or "Can you give me a link to Y?". Most of your questions are likely answerable if only you took your bloody time to look through these forums and use Google if all else fails. Sheesh...

Of course it doesn't work. You need to put the pr.exe and the resources.xml into the folder that your mod is located in, for example...

Code: Select all

C:\PRINCE\MODS\MPRUDKY\PR.EXE -x<...>
Where the <...> is located you either enter a folder that's to be created containing ALL the files (name may not exceed more than 8 characters) or the .dat file you want to extract.

Hi all,

Thank you very much for this tool. It could have save me some time if I knew about it when I was working on my 'Prince of Persia' dubbed project on YouTube. However I tried to use this tool on 'Prince of Persia - The Shadow and the Flame' for my sequel project but unfortunately the ripped images are converted with incorrect colors. I made an attachment but from some reason I couldn't attach it to my message. It gave me the error 'Cannot add another attachment, 0 is the maximum.'

Any ideas how to fix this incorrect color issue?

Thanks in advanced!

Oh my God, it's freakin' Gal Shemesh! Such an honor to have you here, and I'm glad to hear you're gonna do PoP2 as well. Unfortunately I can't help you with your problem, but it's only a matter of time until someone who's been involved with PR comes around.

Thanks for your reply mk1995! And for you welcome greeting! :)
I tried working a bit on the resources.xml file in order to make it able to support POP2 color palette but with no success. It's as if it doesn't affect the conversion process at all. Anyway thanks for the reply again and I'm looking forward to make the POP2 video project as well!

Where are you from by the way? If you're familiar with my project could it be that we talked on YouTube before? Send me a private message here so we won't flood the thread.
