In 2012 someone planned to create a custom Trials Evolution PoP track.

A 3D model by FunkFz of level 1 of NES.
https://sketchfab.com/models/436fde7d74 ... ad4b5f8b0c
You can click+drag, and mouse wheel zooms in/out.

[Edit: And also right-click+drag. With all these options combined, you can actually get a view from inside wherever you want]

I noticed that this model has at least one error.
(Unless NES level 1 is different from DOS/Apple, but I doubt that.)

You can find NES maps on PoPUW (zipped) and on VG Maps (separate images).
Level 1: http://vgmaps.com/Atlas/NES/PrinceOfPersia-Level01.png

You're right, the room in question should be the same as in the DOS version.

I found some other mistakes here:
3D_mistake_marked.jpg
The potion should be on the lower floor, but then there is no way to go down there.
The set of spikes (on the left side of the skeleton) is also too narrow.
And in general, many floor and wall edges are just not aligned to the tile grid.
I'm wondering how much did the author look at the original level while making this...

This one was posted on 2017 October 3, the 28th anniversary of PoP.
The other pictures are also video game-related and most of them were also posted on the anniversary day.
(The release date of the game or console is in the bottom left corner of every picture.)

This artist followed the official Inktober prompt list here: https://inktober.com/rules
"Poisonous" is Day 1, so the "#2" on the drawing is actually "#1".

By the way, the prompt lists have quite a few words that can remind someone of PoP.
For example the 2017 list has "poison", "sword", "run", "shattered" (broken floor), "fat" (level 6), "ship" (PoP2), "squeak" (mouse), "climb", "fall", "united" (level 12), etc.

This says "Inktober 2018 - Day 7".
So this is supposed to be "exhausted"? (See the rules link above.)

And so our "PoP meets other games" series continues? :)

An alternative to the potions level, perhaps? :)
