mk1995's fourth levelset

Post by mk1995 »

MOST IMPORTANT STUFF! READ IT! If the exit door in Level 6 doesn't open correctly (i.e. if it keeps "opening"), then drink the failsafe (i.e. slowfall) potion (make SURE to turn the sound on!) and get through the door. Hopefully you'll arrive at Level 7 when the effect wears off. Alternatively, just press Ctrl.+A and you'll go to Level 7 (thanks to Kaslghnoon for pointing that out).

This levelset makes use of some more complicated tricks. If you think you're stuck, please refer to this topic - and make sure to give good ol' Aura some thanks. If you're still stuck, then I'm here.

Just to make something clear: I will not reply to daft PMs like "Where can I find X?" or "Can you give me a link to Y?". Most of your questions are likely answerable if only you took your bloody time to look through these forums and use Google if all else fails. Sheesh...

Thanks for the tip. As you can see, it works now. :)

Edit: A puzzle in Level 11 didn't work properly. Please redownload the levelset as it's been fixed now.

OK, guys. Very, very, VERY final version, I tell you. And if I still happen to find some bug or something, I'll simply tear the whole thing down and delete this topic.

Good mod! Liked the first level, now I'm at level 2, it's difficult but interesting.

To me it wasn't easy to complete. The blue potions' dilemma made this mod a must-play, in addition to the sensible level designs. I managed to get all the life potions.
You can also press Ctrl+a after going through the looping level 6 exit, it will start from level 7.

It does? But the exit door is two screens below Room 1, as opposed to one. But thanks for pointing it out.

---

Because not everybody speaks German, here the English version of my post:

Well, I used DOSBox to take a snapshot of every room in a level. I then trimmed the pictures a bit (removed the part with the life bars) and arranged them with a drawing program (I use MS Paint). In order to avoid the Prince being in every room I activated cheats (in the DOS prompt, type "prince.exe megahit" when in the folder with the game), so I could use UHJN (I think those were it) to move to adjacent rooms without having to manually go there.

The first level is finishable without getting the sword.
(Most players won't be able to do that/notice it though, so it's not a problem.)

I've used some spare time here and there to play through this mod.
I've added the mod and a small review to popot.org here.
