NEW Prince Of Persia PC MODS

Post by robert »

Hi all, I'm back again with 3 new mods, all done this year. These mods have differences with the previous mods. I give you some tips and pictures of what you're going to see:

Jaffar's Revenge

Link is: http://www.mediafire.com/?crjg5oekmizhwbp

My 8th pc mod. This mod has the 13 levels with guards, and the 14th is the jaffar level.

The Shadow and The Flame Remake

Link is: http://www.mediafire.com/?vxw8751h8u94q7w

My 9th pc mod. This mod is a PoP 2 remake, all levels are made to see as levels in PoP 2, including the potion level, which may be the beach level in pop2.

In The Prison

Link is: http://www.mediafire.com/?2ny73m7pk11s20j

My 10th pc mod. This mod is harder than the previous, it has some puzzles. Of course those who are "profesional" in PoP mods will not have problems with this mod.

Hope you like my mods, these are the last completed pc mods that I have until today.
Please comment, any troubles, any likes or dislikes.

Oh, and starwindz if you see this you can use all my posted mods to add them to your total pack ;)

Golly, you sure are the new mod-making machine here. If only I hadn't retired from playing others' mods (I still do, but only a very, very select few) I would gladly plow through these.
Image
Just to make something clear: I will not reply to daft PMs like "Where can I find X?" or "Can you give me a link to Y?". Most of your questions are likely answerable if only you took your bloody time to look through these forums and use Google if all else fails. Sheesh...

Thanks, but I didn't see you downloaded any file (I can see the downloads in my Mediafire account, and they always say 0). Why didn't you try them? >:(

It's ok, the thing is that I have very little patience :) and I want to see you try them, and with "you" I mean all you players. It would make me happy.

Sorry to have upset you, but as I said, I've pretty much retired from playing PoP. But perhaps I might try one of them, just to please you...

I got a good bit into "Into the Prison" - Level 8, to be exact, and 35 minutes left.

The levels ain't too bad, but there are two things that are extremely glaring: For one, Level 5 has a super shortcut, whether that's intended or not. And Level 8 is ALL about trial and error:

I started going right, which yielded a dead end, so I went left and tried to climb up the ledge, but a loose floor fell and dropped me into spikes. Death Count: 1 So I lowered myself carefully down into the pit and then ran to the right, getting chomped by a chomper to the far left of the screen two screens later. Death Count: 2 On my next attempt I also sidestepped that and tried to kill the purple guard on the pressure plate. It failed, so I just jumped through the gate and drank the slowfall potion, realizing at the same time that the gate to the left of it was also triggered by the pressure plate one screen prior, so I made haste to jump over the two giant gaps. However, I was a tad too slow and fell into the large pit. Miraculously, I didn't die, even though Prince already screamed. I still consider my Death Count: 3. And another try: I lowered myself carefully into the spike pit, bypassed the obnoxious chomper, failed to put the guard onto the pressure plate again, but was fast enough this time to get through both gates, drink the slowfall potion and jump both gaps. Thinking I was home-free, I ran into the next room, only to be met by a yellow guard who struck me dead. Death Count: 4 That was when I quit the game and wrote this post.

All in all, this set isn't too bad. You yourself said it was supposed to be hard. But Level 8 has so much fake difficulty and trial-and-error in it, it almost hurts.

Thanks for playing!

I know level 5 has a shortcut, but I thought you won't going to notice it, but I underestimate you.

Leve 8 is supposed to be difficult, not the most. I thought this mod to make it harder than the others. However it's nothing compared with pop total pack hard mods.
The thing is that you have to be quicklier in some parts and careful in others.

One recommenation: when you are walking to another room do slow steps, so you wouldn't be chompered by a chomper or killed by a guard. I don't put guards in the edge of the room, excpept they are on their back you.

Anyway, thanks for playing my mod.

Appreciate the advice, but I've already gotten past Level 8. It seems like only the parts I named were about trial-and-error. The rest was bearable. Now I'm in Level 10. Yet to continue playing, though.

Funny, there's also already a mod named Jaffar's Revenge. If you plan to have that included in the Total Pack you should probably rename it.

Well, how about "The Vizier's Revenge" or "The Revenge of the Vizier"?

Please, choose one of them and then I'll make the changes and update the mod.

Level 11 of In The Prison is FUCKING. OBNOXIOUS. I rage. Literally.

Seriously, DO THE FUCK AWAY WITH THOSE CHOMPERS!

Edit: Finally finished ITP. I've got 12 mins 4 secs remaining and found all six life potions. Overall a quite enjoyable mod, save for Level 8 (WAY too much trial and error) and Level 11 (WAY too obnoxious chomper placement - I was glad the level was over when it was), but generally they were theoretically doable in one go, i.e. you wouldn't have to memorize where everything is, unlike my early mods' fifth levels, in which you had loose floor platforms going into the next screen with no immediate telling when to jump.

  What have I told you about moving slowly when changing to another room?

I know, level 11 is obviously the most anoying level I made in this mod. And in fact there are a total of 9 lives. Do you remember in what levels did you find a life potion?

Anyway, thanks for playing my mod. Maybe you will like to play my next all dungeon levels mod...

I don't think I quite remember, but let me guess: 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11?
