My level sets.

Post by mickey96 »

My level sets are lost after popuw.com went down.
Only one of them made it to the site.

Adventures of Kariba : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ngxjzeyn41g
Leteipa : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?dyy3ft1z93x
Un-named third level set : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?h8i8wbpweq8
Refueled my car! Now I can keep going!

Hello !

Didn't you give your levelset to hanswurst for adding it to total pack ?

I do not understand why so many people have lost their mods because jalal's site went down
Personnaly I have saved my level(s).dat on py PC and inside a Usb key to be sure it won't get lost
Everybody should do the same , it is so long to make a levelset !!

Leteipa level 8 needs some small fixes to be finishable:
- The raise button for the level exit door (event 4) should trigger the 2nd tile from the left, not the 3rd tile from the left.
- Needs an extra raise button to the left of the gate in room 16.

I reached a similar conclusion. I tried everything I could think of to solve Level 8 until I ran out of time. After looking at it in a level editor I guessed the author moved the exit door to make it look nicer and forgot to update the link. The levels in Leteipa are so attractive that it seems likely the author went through and meticulously decorated them tile-by-tile.

But only one revision is necessary, fixing event 4 to link to tile 22 instead of tile 23 (ie: bottom row, 2nd tile). Once that's fixed the other problem resolves itself!

Unfortunately, the uncomplete-able level 8 is a disqualifying fault so I couldn't recommend Leteipa to anyone in its current form. But it's got so much potential think it deserves to be fixed and distributed. A repaired version would be an entertaining training exercise for beginners.
If the original author doesn't mind and if he's not around then assuming he won't (I don't see why he would), would you do the honors and provide a release with both the tile and event fixed? I'm sure many would be grateful.

As yet I haven't made contact with the author, but I've here is a corrected LEVELS.DAT for Leteipa. I've thoroughly play tested to make sure it can be played all the way through in a single session, just replace LEVELS.DAT in the Leteipa distribution with the one attached to this post.

This fixes a single door-open event that was linked to the wrong tile in level 8, and removes a cosmetic blemish in level 5.
