Hello,
how does the pop-recorder work?
I tried it often time but I still don't get it...dooes someone as a guide for this?

boh! I neither know that! in the READ file there is written that paint shop pro is needed, but if I download it then I can't install it because I'm not the PC administrator....

pop-recorder can extract bitmaps from the game, just type "record prince.exe" instead of prince or "record prince.exe megahit" instead of "prince megahit". Then I believe F11 will start the recording and F12 willl stop it. PSP is only needed to transform the .bmp to animated .gif. Imagemagick can also di that,

If you want to record Prince Of Persia 1 game with cheats type this: Don't forget about .exe
After that you can set up few things and start recording

ohh, and if you are using windows xp you can edit the path and memory options in record.exe (pif), not prince.exe, and then you'll be able to run it just dragging prince.exe into record.exe icon!

where do I have to write this? "read me" talks about a start.bat file but I can't find it!!

mmm..maybe I'm beginning to understand! I didn't remember the existence of cheats! now I've noticed that I can modify that file!! but there is only one problem: I write "record prince.exe megahit" instead of "prince.exe megahit", but then if I click on cheats the game doesn't start! what to do?

I've tried to rename "PRINCE" with the name "RECORD" and now the game starts, but this way the program doesn't work: if i push F10 nothing happens..

hmm... You should not rename prince.exe file

record.exe file should be in the same dir as prince.exe and start.bat

Try this commands in start.bat :

record.exe prince.exe megahit
pause

OR

record prince.exe megahit
pause

Using pause command you can check if any error occur

any suggestion?

You can click right on record.exe, click properties, click memory tab, and set everything to maximum.
Otherwise you can run PoPRecord on DosBox (dos emulator).

For simple shot you can also press "Print Screen Key" during the game, quit the game, open paint, press ctrl+v and you have shot without using poprecord

When i was coding PoPRecord i was using Win 98 system, which was more compatible with dos mode, and poprecord was able to record longer time of the game. Now on xp there are trobules...
