Converting a mod to 1.4

Hello there,
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right board, sorry if not. I'd like to convert a mod (Repetition of Time) to DOS 1.4 version, and I don't really know how to achieve that. It's currently running under 1.0. Does anyone have a lead on how to do it?

I think it can be perfect if this topic is
here.
And sorry, I don't know much about this!

Use CusPop to generate a new 1.4 prince.exe.
https://www.popot.org/other_useful_tool ... ool=CusPop
You would need to change parameters to match the ROT.EXE values. The obvious ones are "starting minutes", level type (dungeon/palace) and guard type (fat guard on level 9 instead of 6) and guard hit points.
I believe the author have mostly used unchanged special events such as places where shadow appears and the level 3 checkpoint. However, mouse on level 8 is hidden behind walls and does not seem to go through 3 tiles; so those parameters be different.

If you don't care about when Shift+l is allowed and its effect, nor when saving is allowed, you could simply use apoplexy. First, make sure the mod's executable name is PRINCE.EXE. Then open it in apoplexy, and make a screenshot of the EXE-screen (F2). Then get 1.4 (
ZIP), open that one in apoplexy, and modify all EXE-screen settings to match the screenshot you made earlier. CusPop will also work, but likely takes more time, and if you make a mistake with CusPop, you'll still want to use apoplexy to fix it without having to re-set everything on the CusPop page.

Thanks for your answers. I'm used to Apoplexy so that's my best lead, but I'm not sure about what you mean when saying "open it in Apoplexy": I should extract the mod content into the prince folder, right? It seems to be working so I assume it's the right move.
Then where do I put the 1.4 files? If I put them in the prince folder it will erase the mod content, won't it ?
Edit : oh, you meant only copying the 1.4 PRINCE.EXE into the prince folder, right? Is this file the only difference between the versions?
