Prince of Persia

When I played PoP 4D version kirill, after level 10 finish, at the screen come out "please insert prince of persia into drive C" How to overcome this problem? Thanks before.

You won't be able to get past there even with a disk of the original PoP. You'll need to use an ordinary Prince.exe...

I can't give a lot of details on this. PoPUW once had instructions to that, but not anymore since it's down. Someone else able to shed light on this?

You should have the original Prince.exe, too, if you have an unmodified game. If not, just look around the Princed webpage.

Or, wait... I think the name of the "Levels.dat" file has been changed. Can you give me an image of an opened 4D-Prince folder showing all of the files in there? That could help me determine what you should do to play past that point where it promts you to insert a disk.

Just as I thought. The "KIRILL.DAT" is actually the "LEVELS.DAT", so if you create a PoP 1.0 executable with CusPoP and change whereever it says "LEVELS.DAT" to "KIRILL.DAT", you should hopefully do fine.

actually levels.dat is exist and I've tried to rename into kirill.dat but the game goes to earlier version of PoP that I've already finished.

No! Not like that. You, like, have to move the KIRILL.DAT into the PoP folder where the original game is and rename it to LEVELS.DAT there.

if the file is renamed into levels.dat, the game won't go on.

just the same, dude. At level 11, the game shows:

hmmm.. on wich harddisk you play the game example by me
i got the problem also but in lvl 2 i have played on C: redownload to D: (or other)
and still works fine

Did you rename it into that in the same folder as the rest of the game is in? Then it won't work, of course. As I said, you have to create a new folder with all the stuff from the original, unedited PoP you can download from the net. Afterwards, rename that "KIRILL.DAT" into "LEVELS.DAT" and move it into that newly created folder.

go to orginal data DELETE LEVELS.dat
go to 4d folder click on kirill.dat(or select) right click chosse cut
go back to the orginal folder (levels.dat need to by deleted)
rightclick (dont select anything) rightclick chosse paste (or ctrl+v)
start game by clicking prince.exe the game need to work now
