Jumping through guard is a trick of course, which is known.
Getting pushed by guard through gate is also known (and on PoPOT) but I thought it's only possible on the right side. So maybe Norbert could add a note (or another trick) so people know it's also possible on left side.

Well, this trick is a little harder than 39. But both are similar.

It IS a trick, you can put the guards into the next tile through the walls if the guards are at a perfect difference. I think it's on PoPOT. But I don't remember the number.

Those bugs are different. I have fixed a few of those in my mod.

Trick 39 has to do with positioning between tiles. If you bump kid against the gate to the right of the room, it can get confused and point to the tile in the next room which is a floor instead of the gate.

The bug in the video seems to happen because the game calls the sequence to put the sword down. The logic that checks whether the closed gate tile is a wall gets confused.

There is also a bug with guards which is kind of a combination between the two. If you keep striking the guard against a closed gate to the right of the room and there is a drop right behind the gate, he will fall through but only when there are no hit points left which causes the guard sequence to change.

Nobody will be able to reproduce it with these instructions. At least add Karl's video with the displayed inputs.

I'm not able to replicate the trick yet... I think it definitely needs good explanation for any beginner to follow. Hope you would do that!

Edit: Not too difficult. Took 10 tries, first worked in DOSBox. Also works if the gate is not in the other room.
