Hi people!!! :P

I tried to download "sneslevels.dat" from this page but the file is deleted from server.

http://forum.princed.com.ar/pop1/down.html

I have the original Prince of Persia (for SNES) and I would like to see the look and feel of the snes levels converted to "prince of persia"

Is there anybody here that have the "sneslevels.dat"?

I played level 10 and arrived in the last room...then I noticed there is a bug in the file:
link 0 should not be linked to tile 26 of room 24, but to tile 16 of room 24!! I could send the file repaired or you just could modify it...
if anyone else finds any other bug just post here :)

Hi 'CrazyDiamond'

I got the file that was provided by the member (or administrator, well, i think) 'Autor_Serwisu', thanx guy, thanx a lot...

But I need to say that I still haven't played the sneslevels.dat, only the first and second levels (Because I'm still playing the other mods/levels)

But I checked level 10 and this level is almost equal to level 16 on SNES version with some cheating (megahit / improved cheats)

And using the keys 'u', 'j', 'k', and 'n' to check the rooms I can't find no errors on this level...

But let me say that I don't know if the level is with errors or not...

I haven't checked with Princed or RoomShaker the "sneslevels.dat"

But I'm interested in your fixed version...

Because If you, and old member from "www.princed.com.ar" site said that you found an error on the level who am i (a new member) say that you is wrong and I'm right..

Am I or Am I not a nice guy? :P :P

Could you send the fixed "sneslevels.dat" to my e-mail, gustavo.pamplona@gmail.com

Or attach the file to your new post... (when you answer me)

Thanx for reading this post.

can you watch rooms with those keys? Didn't know that!!! :D I should try this cheat!!

mmm...I'm not so old member!! for example I can't use princed! but thank you for thinking about me like if I was a wise man :D & yes...you are a nice guy

however I've checked that level with roomshaker!! you couldn't see the bug (which isn't really a bug but just a little error) because it is a button error: the button that should open the final door doesn't open anything! of course by exploring the level without pushing buttons you can't realise that

Now I'm on linux and can't modify the file, but this afternoon I'll add it to the same page where you downloaded the other mods!

yes I was thinking about this yesterday...I never saw or played snes, but I knew there were 20 levels so I was asking where the other levels are!! does anybody know? I thought that maybe the file levels.dat contains all 20 levels, but starting with the file prince.exe not modified only the levels corresponding to the original will open.... so...does anyone have snes.exe too? and it'll be good to have also all the other files...(also the graphic should be different!)

cool!!!! I noticed that in level 10 there was also a "garbage room" (a room in which you can't go to, which wasn't intended to appear, but you can see with these keys)..maybe they had forgotten to delete it...I did it!

ok now I go to see the GP of FORMULA 1....run, Shumi, run!!

This post is specially dedicated to the member 'CrazyDiamond'

Thanx 'CrazyDiamond" for fixing the file. I downloaded it... Thanx a lot!!!

And I'm giving you the links to get the ROM's (images) from the SNES POP and POP 2 and the ZSNES emulator to run them...

Prince of Persia (USA) SNES ROM

http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/42142 ... sia-U.html

Prince of Persia 2 (USA) SNES ROM

http://www.romnation.net/srv/roms/42144 ... a-2-U.html

ZSNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) emulator

http://www.zsnes.com/

The ZSNES is the best SNES emulator found and it's avaiable for Win32, DOS and Linux

The Prince of Persia SNES version has 20 levels and you have 2 hours to save the princess from Jaffar.

Many levels have special features, like "rolling floors" and other special effects, the original PC DOS engine don't have these 'new' effects

So many levels found on sneslevels.dat are the only levels on SNES version that don't have the special effects... And many found on sneslevels.dat file have some architecture altered due the limitations on original DOS PC engine.

About your question with the level 10, (equal to level 16) when you saw a hidden room.

Well, that room is a secret room and I will not reveal the secret to you How to reach that room?

You will have to find that room yourself. :P

There are many secrets rooms on SNES version in various levels, and the SNES version I consider the best Prince of Persia...

And some little secrets (special effects)

The Prince of Persia 2 SNES version is equal to the DOS PC version of Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame with the exception of the menus but the gameplay is virtually indentical to the DOS PC version.

There are other console versions, I have these console versions

- Sega Genesis/MegaDrive
- Sega MaterSystem
- GameBoy Color
- GameBoy
- GameBoy Advance (Sands of Time)
- NES version

The SegaGenesis version have cool graphics with some minor differences in the level design this game is equal to original DOS Prince of Persia

The MasterSystem version is the bad version of the game... I don't know why, the gameplay is bad and the graphics are bad...

The NES version is equal to the DOS Prince of Persia but the gameplay is bad.

And the GameBoy versions, well, you will have to discover yourself

Nice your interest for Formula One Championship's,

Are you a germanic? Well, As I'm a brazilian and my country allways have drivers/runners on Formula One

We brazilians, we like F1 like the Soccer or don't you know that my soccer team is the one that won five times the World Cup

And the brazilian soccer team is the only team that was present in all World Cups..

This year the World Cup will be realized in the German ("Deutschland" or "Alemanha" in Portuguese language)

And we, in 2002 we won of the German in the last match of the cup, in Japan (The South Korea/Japan World Cup)

I need to say that I watched too the Grand Prix of Europe (Nurbugring, German), well, I know that the Michael Schumacher won again. What a fuck...

This guy broke all the records, and won seven times.... Why he wants more?

I'm supporting the Fernando Alonso because sadly the brazilians Rubens Barrichelo (on Honda team, left out Ferrari in the last year) and Felipe Massa (in this year on Ferrari) are not good drivers.

There is a Portuguese guy called "Tiago Monteiro" on Jordan Team. But Jordan is not a good team to run, lacks money, lacks engine on cars, the engines are not good, the drivers are not good.

And I like the Portugal country like the Spain.

And as the Spanish (Espanol) and Portuguese (PortuguÄ?s) are sister languages (from Latin) as the French (France) and Italian (Italiano) languages I'm supporting a driver that talk/speak almost the same language as me, Portuguese.

Go, Renault, go Fernando Alonso, and this spanish guy won Schummy last year...

Well, I have 24 years old and if Ayrton Senna was not died in the Imola in the year of 1994.

Well, Ayrton Senna won three times and was a good driver/runner... (The BEST brazilian driver)

I watch F1 races through TV since 1988 (when I had only 7 years old)

And recently, in the year of 2004 I watched personally the Brazilian Grand Prix (since 1970) on the city of SÄ?o Paulo, because I live on another city here in my country that is a a bigger country... The City of SÄ?o Paulo is located away 550 km from my city...

Well, my country only lose of the Russia, Canada, China and USA in terms of surface area..

I live on a republic system with president, senators, governors, mayors, etc... in a country with 27 states that have almost the same looking and feel as USA with 50 states.

Since when I was only a child I allways liked of F1GP and Soccer.

Thanx guy... Bye!!! :P

gustavopamplona wrote:Many levels have special features, like "rolling floors" and other special effects, the original PC DOS engine don't have these 'new' effects
I supposed (and hoped) that!! think I'll have lot of fun!

so are you sure that room can be reached?!! it's the room which you see pushing 'jjjuuj' from the start! but there is nothing interesting...just an empty potion!!! why should anyone reach that room? however, you say that it can be reached so of course I re-modified the file again, so that the room isn't deleted...you find the file in the usual page!

& thank you for the informations about the different versions of prince! I've only the original game (if we don't talk about mods  ) so all these information are very interesting to me...
gustavopamplona wrote:Nice your interest for Formula One Championship's, Are you a germanic?
No I'm italian!! that's why I support Shumacher: he drives Ferrari, the most known italian car!! :P
and of course I know Brasil is a great team...but I'll root for Italy this summer....!
and then I'm a Juventus fan too!

sorry for being a bit fast in asking...i'm going to bed :)
good night (for you good morning maybe!!!)

When you play the SNES version you will know what I'm saying.

In level 16 (of SNES version) the rightest portion of the level when you see a wall that
goes from bottom to upper part of the entire level there is a passage along the wall...

But I believe that the original PC DOS engine don't have a way to trespass that wall. I haven't tested the sneslevels.dat

Oops... I explained how to reach the secret room!
& thank you for the informations about the different versions of prince! I've only the original game (if we don't talk about mods ) so all these information are very interesting to me...

You can find more information about console game versions of Prince of Persia in this site

http://www.popuw.com/
No I'm italian!! that's why I support Shumacher: he drives Ferrari, the most known italian car!!

Ahhhhann, Parlatte il italiano

Usted habla el italiano (espanol / spanish)
VocÄ? fala o italiano (portuguÄ?s / portuguese)

Sorry my friend, I can read italian text, I can also hear the italian language, but I can't write the italian and speak perfectly well

An example given. If you write an e-mail to me in Italian I will understand it perfectly but I will answer you only in English...

The same thing goes to French language but in Spanish and English, I'm perfect

But I think that you could support 'Giancarlo Fisichela', this guy is a very experienced driver...

The Renault Team, I consider the Renault Team a latian Team

Driver - Fernando Alonso - Spain
Driver - Giancarlo Fisichela - Italia
Team - Renault - France

Lacks a Portugal (or Brazil guy), but in Ferrari we have the brazilian "Felipe Massa" so I support this guy too...

Hey, I'm a fan from Ferrari too.
and of course I know Brasil is a great team...but I'll root for Italy this summer....!
and then I'm a Juventus fan too!

Well, My brazilian soccer team, the name of it is "Cruzeiro" or official name: "Cruzeiro Esporte Clube"

Or in english "Cruzeiro Sport Club" (almost the same thing)
sorry for being a bit fast in asking...i'm going to bed
good night (for you good morning maybe!!!)

No problem, my friend, have a good night for you!!!

I need to say that my current GMT Zone is (-03.00) from England, Greenwich And I think that on Italia is (+01.00)

So when your watch says midnight, 0:00 or 12:00 AM , here on Brazil is still 20:00 or 08:00 PM

Bye!!!
