And I found an interesting difference, in that forum posts need to be approved or disapproved, I would like to know Why you disabled that?

I think it is not really a good idea because sometimes you will need help and it is better to have your post instantly in so more people can see it and help and also what problem can happen? this is forum for communication and searching for opinions so there is no need for delays in posts

Did you miss allowing them or simply skipped?

The top ones, are the announcement topics.

Yeah, the ones with "i" are announcements.
The "!" are sticky topics that always are above other (non-sticky) topics.
The fire icon means the thread contains a lot of posts.
And the other icon just means it's a regular forum thread.

And finally, the red star in the corner of the icons probably means that you have posted in that topic.
I think so because the filenames of such icons contain "mine".

I tried to find the explanation of the icons in the phpBB user's guide but I didn't find anything.
