Most of the images I've posted in this thread over the years are hosted on Instagram. Instagram has a new policy where browsing requires logging in. After scrolling down search results a bit, it says "Log in to continue", similar to behavior that Pinterest has exhibited for years. I'm not going to login, so I'll be posting less in this thread.

I hate hard end bosses, and I agree that the fight with SNES Jaffar is too difficult.
It's doable, after all these years it's now easy enough for me, but it's unnecessarily hard.

The first phase is perhaps more unfair than hard in that, if you miss parrying his attack you have a 33.33% chance that it will either:
- Just take 1 health of damage
- Make you float and them slam you to the ground (2 health of damage)
- Make you float and then one-hit kill you
To make matters worse, on the second possibility, once you are on the ground there's next to no time to get up and defend yourself from another attack, and that one most likely will lead to the one-hit kill.

As for the second phase is hard...if you keep parrying and re-striking back and forth. Jaffar will parry and restrike infinitely. The trick here is to parry and wait in your re-strike just a beat so that Jaffar doesn't parry and take damage; eventually you get to corner him and win. I always thought it was a bit anticlimatic, hence why in my first mod I tried to make a somewhat different battle that wasn't just a sword fight.
