New levels for Apple 2 Pop
I'm currently working on a set of levels for the original Apple 2 version. They will be tougher then the originals and some levels will contain alternative routes of completion.

Thanks. I'm hoping that this will inspire others to do the same.
Levels 1- 6 are finished. So is level 9. In the meantime, here are some more screens.

Ok. It's now finished. I'm not exactly sure what file I need, but I presume its the POP1.Po located in the Apple2 disk folder?

Here is the download -
You will need to rename the file to POP1.Po and replace the old one in the disk_appleii of the Leopop folder.

I guess maybe I should make a page on popot.org for non-DOS/SNES mods.
Then I could also add my own First One (Game Boy Color mod) there.

I think level 10 cannot be finished because the prince cannot climb up in room 22.

Played through it; it's all right. Levels and life potions mostly easy for me.
- In level 4, I like the layout of the final (level exit door) room. I arrived from the left there.
- In room 2 of level 6, I noticed that the hit points are in front of drop buttons; this is not a problem, just never really noticed they overlap the playing area in the Apple II game. The shadow's gate is already closed, apparently.
- In level 7, I decided to take the big blue potion because the location of the nearby guard looked dangerous, and I drank wisely.
- In level 8, I noticed that empty Apple II hit points have no borders, so occasionally they disappear on the black background.
- Died in room 15 of level 9, because I had lost a lot of health in room 3 (frame rate slowdown messed with my fighting). Also in level 9, I ran out of time and reached a closed level exit door (I'd had missed the raise button).
- In level 11, the guard in room 2 killed me when I arrived from above, so I then approached him from the left.
- In level 12(a), I noticed a 'missing' tile above room 6. This is a different kind of level that focusses on heights. Died twice because of loose tiles (room 7, 5). This level suddenly ends when moving into room 23. This also means there's no need for the level exit door (that I later saw in the editor).
- Level 12b (13) is short; raise button probably unnecessary. Princess level unchanged.

I could of worked on the last couple of levels a bit more (I was taking into account the timer) But I might actually make a DOS version of this level set with a few improvements a bit later on.
