Can I help?

Post by ugmo_joe »

Hi everybody.

I'm a VB6 programmer and wanted to know if I could help out? I've been reading through this forum and checking out all the findings you guy have made and I must that that it really rocks :D . I've got a lit of ideas that I'd like to share and implement for modifying resources and level editing. While I waited for a reply, I thought I might try out my new found knowledge and managed to knock together a resource extracter. I know it's already been done, but I did it for a better understanding of the file structure. My ICQ is 198159116, so if you guys are interested in taking one more on board, count me in!

Whoops!

Well, I never knew things were THIS far along! I couldn't view the screenshots for some reason, so I didn't know what PV3 was all about. WOW! That's all I have to say. Well, I'd still like to help anyway!

Cool! Just tell me where you want me to start :). One thing that I'd love to write would be a WinZip style resource editor; something very simple and user friendly. I found PR a little troubling to use, so I thought a new version might come in handy. Tell us what you think.

Whoops! My broswer stuffed up and I pressed the 'post' buttone a few too many times! :p Sorry!

Just another note. If you wanted, I could try to have something written up in about a week if you were able to get me a refrence of the file structure of the *.dat files.
