Music was primarily composed for the MT-32

This is something I had been wondering about. When searching the web, I found some people saying the soundtrack was primarily composed for the Roland SC-55 and some people saying it was for the Roland MT-32, but no one cited sources.

But, I think these 2 tweets make it pretty clear the music was primarily composed for the Roland MT-32:

Clearly better on the real MT-32.
Never heard that version before.
