Hidden potions in the Sega Master System version

I found some potions hidden behind walls. (See the attached image.)
(I found these after I figured out the level format.)
Those on level 7 and level 11 are also present in the DOS version -- except they are not hidden!
On level 2 there are actually two potions at the same place!
There are some more hidden potions:
- level 4: under the exit door (but in the same room). (Don't confuse it with the not hidden potion in the room below the exit door.) (Not in DOS.)
- level 5: not reachable, in the wall, in the room that has a one-tile wide pit with spikes. (Present in the DOS version, but there is no wall at that place.)
- level 9: this one is not behind a wall, but on the right edge of a room. It's the room where there is a chomper and to the right there is a dead end. (If I remember correctly, this place can't be reached on the SMS.) (Also in DOS.)
- level 12: at the right edge of the room before the shadow. (Not in DOS.)

I don't understand the
"(Also in DOS.)" part there.
By the way, I just tried the SMS port and it's pretty crappy.

I meant that there is a potion near that place in the DOS version.

Ah, yes, MK wrote a lengthy post about it

:
http://www.popot.org/popuw_forum_archiv ... html#43464 ("
The other graphics are nice, too. It's only the control, that sucks.")
Also:
http://davidn.livejournal.com/91185.html ("
What is so bizarre is the physics of it - they're incredibly erratic.")
Oddly, some people have different opinions:
http://www.smspower.org/Reviews/PrinceO ... -SegaForce ("
A joy to play, easy to control", "
The best MS game we’ve seen for ages!")
or:
http://www.smspower.org/maxim/Maps/PrinceOfPersia ("
There are also a lot of bugs
but overall, it is still one of the best games on the system (in my opinion) and much better than the Mega Drive version which was released several years later. ")
One more thing:
There is a map of level 4 here:
http://www.smspower.org/Scans/SegaForce ... erypage=12
And a different one here:
http://www.smspower.org/maxim/Maps/PrinceOfPersia
The leftmost room is different on the two maps. The room with the exit door and the room to the right are also different.

There's a bunch of other stuff hidden that's now easier to find - because you can see them - using
lemsop.
Examples are the shadow's sword in room 2 of level 12.
And a gate in the starting room of level 5.
Additionally, there are several broken room links that cause strange effects.
One example is room 20 in level 4, which has no link down.
If the prince tries to go down from where the potion is, he glitches out and falls from the roof.
I also found a loose floor on top of a regular floor, in room 3 of level 9.
In-game when walking on it, it wobbles, then nothing happens.
But if you then jump on it, you get teleported to where the button is.

So it's possible to complete the level without jumping through the mirror.

Oh yeah, I didn't even think of that.
