Install SDLPoP on Android

Post by Garret »

I recently bought a firestick 4K Max and I have been surprised how powerful it runs stuff (I get more performance than on a raspberry pi 4).

Do you know if SDLPoP was also ported on Android?

I know the firestick uses a 32bit architecture. It would be nice to install SDLPoP on the firestick and play with a joystick on my TV.

There was a port, not by us, but it has been taken off the store, and it might have contained malware.

So there is Exagear Windows Emulator for Android. Maybe with a bit of luck SDLPoP could work from there.

Now there's a simpler solution: you can emulate the Dreamcast port through Flycast (Play Store/GitHub/CI Builds).
I'm not sure about Flycast's 32bit/ARMv7 compatibility, because my phone is AArch64, but since they don't mention specific architectures in their github readme, I'm guessing it works on both.
(For curiosity's sake I tried it on Redream too, but it just crashes the app. Anyway, it works perfectly on Flycast as far as I can tell.)
