The name of this company?

Post by stop_snorting »

I love the Japanese version of the SNES game of PoP, I was looking to find which companies had just created this game for Japan. I was able to find about Arsys software and NCS, but I wonder if what the name of "the company at the picture" is?

You're lucky I'm learning Japanese.

The company's name is "Masiya". The Katakana spell out "Mesaiya", though.

Also, welcome to the forums.

Just to make something clear: I will not reply to daft PMs like "Where can I find X?" or "Can you give me a link to Y?". Most of your questions are likely answerable if only you took your bloody time to look through these forums and use Google if all else fails. Sheesh...

I believe it is (NCS) Masaya, so just the a.

See for example:
http://www.segaretro.org/Nippon_Computer_Systems
"Their Japanese distribution division is called Masaya (メサイヤ) and [...]"

Also:
http://www.mobygames.com/company/masaya
"Founded in 1985, Masaya (pronounced like "Messiah") is the games division of Nippon Computer Systems."

So maybe the logo was either a case of Engrish or an A and a Y merged together.

Also: Japanese characters are working?

これってテストよ。

Oh goodness, it WORKS!
