Hello there!
I’m new to this forum and also kinda new to the Prince of Persia. I play the 4D version of prince but I have watched my brother play the regular one. (1989 is obviously the best version)
I have one problem in playing the game. Those blades that open and close really bother me (especially when there’s more than1). I am getting the rhythm I believe but it there some kind of trick that you experts use that gets through them?
Thanks for the help and glad to be here!

Oh. Ok. I didn’t see the intro forum yet.
Please move my topic there, @Norbert.

Not really.
As you wrote, if you play a lot you eventually get the rhythm of them.

Well, there is one trick you can use:
Step up to the edge of the chomper. Then pause the game (Esc) and single step (Esc again) until the chomper is fully closed.
Then you can run or step through the chomper, because the prince will be far away when the chomper closes again.
But I think that most players play without this trick, because I don't remember seeing this in PoP videos.
Note that in SDLPoP, Esc opens the menu by default. You can turn that off in settings -> general.
BTW, I see you regularly update your signature with your progress.

Good trick, but...it sort of minimizes the experience.

It's good to see that you can now handle chompers.
But please don't put such big images into your signature.
It's quite confusing to see an irrelevant screenshot in the topics you post.

I don’t know how to make it smaller

I usually use
IrfanView to do simpler things with images.
By the way, what did you use to cut out your avatar from a screenshot?

I used Snipping Tool.
