Question to think about

I have a big question which is not easy to answer.
Why there are mods for Pop but not (at least I don't know) mods for other DOS games?
I tried searching level editors for Mario Bros (my second favorite videogame) but there are just for NES and SNES and not for MS-DOS
Well, think about it

I will not be the first to make the level editors for other DOS games because I'm not good calculating

ZZT for example has lots of custom levels (called Games or Worlds).
It certainly helps that it came with an official level editor built in.
Although
mods on Jazz2Online are mostly for Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (which is for Windows), they also have
some mods for the original Jazz Jackrabbit (which is for DOS).
And I've just found a DOS Game Modding Wiki:

Do you mean
the original Mario Bros. or
Super Mario Bros.?
The original Mario Bros. had only an
unofficial DOS version. Anyway, I could not find a level editor for any version of it.
Super Mario Bros. wasn't released for DOS at all, although there is an
unofficial Super Mario Bros.-like game for DOS.
Which game do you mean?

The
official site says there is no level editor.
You have to edit the levels in the source code, and you have to recompile the game to play the edited levels.
