Re: SDLPoP; David's open-source port of PoP
Is there a way to have SDLPoP play several P1R files one after the other?David wrote: ↑July 8th, 2020, 4:55 pmCurrently the only way is to play it back in SDLPoP and record the screen.atrueprincefanfrom18 wrote: ↑July 6th, 2020, 6:39 pm I want to know if there's any way to convert P1R to a video format.

Re: speedrun world records
The thing is, at least with the above technique, it works only if there is exactly one tile gap. See here: the first time it works, but the second (after I break the second tile) it doesn't.

Re: speedrun world records
Hah! Even I wanted to know, why does the game do this and what is the perfect distance we should start running and press the up key for the trick to work. It works pretty much every time if you position yourself correctly, no? Assuming you want to hard jump towards right, from the edge, a quiet ste...

Does SDLPoP recording works when cheats on?
Hi,
I noticed that my recording does not work with cheats on, at least in this example.
My intention was to obtain something like this (captured via dosbox):

Useless glitches
I was thinking about the well-known glitches of Levels 5, 7, 10, where the prince falls/moves into an unexpected part of the level, effectively saving time.
Are there any other of these glitches (the prince ending in a weird place, and yet surviving) that do not result in saving time?

Looking at this speedrun, I was wondering what happens at 3:34 of this one.Norbert wrote: ↑February 13th, 2011, 12:25 am Here's some information about the current unofficial 'verified' speedrun world records.
For the MS-DOS version, it is 13:42.73 by Ma5terViking. He uploaded a 13:44.73 minute speedrun

Re: Level 10 glitch
Wait! In VLC Media Player it's Orange and in normal Videos Player it's Purple. I am using Ubuntu and I don't know the name for default Videos Player. Something is very weird... I also had opened it in VLC when I found the orange guard. Alas both windows media player and the default player for win10...

Re: Level 10 glitch
I tried what you wrote, but in my case the prince fell into an empty room and then landed in an actual room of the level. And somehow the purple guard in that last room became orange. Weird. Interesting! Btw I notice that in David's attachment the last guard indeed became orange, but Norbert's vide...

Level 10 glitch
hi all, I was not able to replicate this, and I don't know how well-known this is, but in Level 10 if I make a standing jump from here L10.png I end up here: L10b.png EDIT: It can be replicated as follows. From the edge of the short platform on the right, do 1 standing jump, 4 quiet steps, turn righ...
