Re: Black box glitch in POP3D on Win98

Any recommendations? :D Assuming your system has an AGP slot, I would recommend the Nvidia Geforce Ti 4200 (ideally one with 128 MB VRAM), which has good compatibility and performance and should also be not too expensive to find. Although lots of other cards from Nvidia, ATI and 3dfx should work fi...

Re: Black box glitch in POP3D on Win98

I played POP3D as well when I was younger, I was quite hyped when the game came out. It ran like a slide show on the computer my parents had back then (but I still had a lot of fun with it). I also have been tweaking around with Windows 98 retro systems recently, I'm really enjoying seeing these old...

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)

Multiple people who have recently signed up for an account have let me know that their activation e-mails are not arriving. There might be some issue causing phpBB to be unable to send e-mails.
For now, I disabled account activation for new users to circumvent this issue until the problem is fixed.

Even his signature was changed to a spam link. Can an admin delete that?
Done. I sent _Zaphod_ an e-mail and reset their account password to a new randomly generated one.

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)

Enrique and I updated the SSL certificates for forum.princed.org and princed.org (they were about to expire), now using Let's Encrypt. We aim to set up a cron job for auto-renewal sometime in the coming months (the Let's Encrypt certificates need to be renewed regularly, as they are only valid for ...

Re: Forum spam

The anti-spambot countermeasure for new user registration has been switched back to the Q&A method (for now). In the current set-up, new users have to send an e-mail to ask for the password to be able to create an account.

Re: SDLPoP; David's open-source port of PoP

I will probably revert the #includes to their original forms. Or perhaps add some more #ifs to keep everyone happy, once I find out how to detect each possible OS and build environment. Maybe something like this? Although I am not entirely sure this is supported by every compiler (should work on mo...

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)

If I remember correctly, I pointed Falcury to my previous post on this topic via a private message, but he didn't respond. He also hasn't posted for more than 9 months, plus barely visits any more. Could be he's busy, but maybe he decided to move on to other things. Sorry about the long delay respo...

Re: Nastier Dungeons

Before playing back the replay, you must add a directory "Nastier Dungeons" which includes the mod inside the mods/ directory. I don't know why this is necessary. As I've written before, and recently, and someone else then sided with my thinking: I thought replay files included the level ...

Re: speedrun world records

That's great to know! Might improve a couple of seconds. Is there a frame counter or something in SDLPoP? I tried counting the number of frames by repeatedly quickloading and comparing the time at the frame on which the kid lands on the floor below (by advancing the frame one by one using the escap...

Norbert wrote: February 7th, 2021, 3:00 pm Falcury, will you modify the sticky (or create a new one) to reflect policy?
Done.
Maybe the policy should still be specified a bit further, if we want to allow mods and patches only for Prince of Persia 3D specifically, and not for e.g. the SoT trilogy games. (Left unspecified for now.)

With cheat mode enabled, you can press T.
To have time counting up instead of down, you can change the starting minutes left from 60 to -1.
