Re: Community (Re-)Building
Kinda quiet, huh? Indeed, most familiars have more or less left this forum. Not much of a community left, unfortunately. Over at Popuw.com, there hasn't been an update since late 2021. At Princed.org, the main page displays no information after 2017: we already lost Facebook, and Twitter now forces...

Re: Random off-topic stuff
The Campea folks saw the first 30 minutes of Lightyear , and they like it very much, and lots of viewers were in tears, apparently. Given their excitement about it, I'm now slightly interested in seeing the film, where I wasn't at all after seeing the trailer a while back. So... Campea has 'cancell...

Re: Developing a blind accessibility mod for Prince?
Hi again Richard. For my convenience, I will answer your questions in reverse. First about activating email notifications, then about relevant forum threads. Our forum uses software called "phpBB". I will explain separately: - how to enable receiving email notifications, and - how to subsc...

Re: The Movie Thread
While I somewhat understand that some people really dislike Grace, she continues to entertain me with her videos.
Here's another interesting one. While most critics like Oppenheimer (94% RT), she does not.

Re: Directional sound
Though I think the right side of my headphones is a bit less loud than the left side. What I noticed is that when the very first loose floor (in room 1): - wobbles, the sound is correctly primarily on the right - it being the 4th tile from the right, - breaks in the room below, the sound is incorre...

Re: Random off-topic stuff
Twitter now requires users to sign in to view tweets.
(From what I'm reading it's because of scraper bots, it's supposed to be temporarily, and for a few days there used to be just limits for unregistered users not a full block.)

Re: Directional sound
Unfortunately I can't hear any directionality, although distant sounds are softer. My guess is that you will hear it when using a headphone. But even then it's probably (too) subtle. Likely this is why I commented: Perhaps it's possible for the functionality to get 'Scaling method' like options, wi...

Re: Random off-topic stuff
Also, the music somewhat spoils the atmosphere: in a cold dungeon you hear your footsteps and gates and such, not music. Interestingly, no music for most of the game also helps the Souls games. Someone here also comments on this: "One thing that lends to the dreamlike atmosphere of the game......

Re: Nederlandse versie?
Trouwens, waarschijnlijk is het veel makkelijker om dit op gewoon papier te creëren, en dan dat te scannen. Ga ik overigens niet meer mee aan de slag, want ik ben geen kunstenaar. English: Actually, what they probably did with the original is create it on real-life paper, and then import it. Which s...

Re: popot.org
Apparently the mail queue got stuck on 27 April.
I've fixed this issue (with a workaround).
Everything that happened on the website since then is now being sent to all users.
Sigh.

Re: Developing a blind accessibility mod for Prince?
Hi Richard, welcome to the Princed forum. Nice work on completing level one without sight. Your suggestion to help blind and visually impaired people play the game is interesting. Unfortunately, we are a very small community, with only a handful or so active people. And even these people seem to vis...

Also, this and/or the audio changes made by Dmitry (mentioned here) might be useful to have as a toggle in the main branch, particularly given this.

Re: Prince 1 and 1/2 - a new mod
This... I had made a lot of changes to the sound like positional stereo sounds, multiple sounds playing at the same time, etc. ...and/or this... https://github.com/Falcury/SDLPoP/tree/directionalsound ...about which I commented... Perhaps it's possible for the functionality to get 'Scaling method' l...
