@SuavePrince: At 1:01 your video says "The Princess is Mine".
But I think it's the "Arjak_levels" instead. Look here around 2:00.
(Those two rooms were familiar.)
Also, around 0:32 is "Temple of Chaos". I can't find it on the forum or PoPOT. Is that an unreleased mod?

Re: Guide to Prince of Persia tricks (Large Topic)
There are many similar tricks on PoPOT.
I found these: 7, 37, 48, 54, 62, 68, 70(?), 91, 96, 99, 100
What is common among these, is that there is some obstacle on the right, and the prince can go through some obstacle on the left.
In SDLPoP, there is an option called FIX_TWO_COLL_BUG to fix (some of) these. (I tested only a few of the tricks.)
If you look into the code, you see that the original code does not check the left side if there is something on the right side.

Re: Guide to Prince of Persia tricks (Large Topic)
Hey folks,
As you may have seen, new forum user oitofelix has recently released MININIM.
Like SDLPoP, MININIM is a new implementation of PoP1 for DOS.
Recently, oitofelix suggested that the PoP1 tricks could be tested with MININIM.
To see which ones are possible in MININIM, and which ones are not.
If you want to help with this testing, below I'll explain how you can do this.
You'll be able to use apoplexy to create levels, and then launch MININIM to test tricks.
Get this version of MININIM:
https://github.com/oitofelix/mininim/re ... -win32.zip (GNU/Linux version here)
And get apoplexy:
http://www.popot.org/level_editors/soft ... -win64.zip (GNU/Linux version here)
Then, add all files of MININIM (including its data\ directory) to apoplexy's prince\ directory.
Finally, rename mininim.exe to prince.exe.
If you want to report about which tricks work and which do not, please do so in this thread.
If you want to talk about MININIM itself, please do so in this thread.
Thanks!

Two very similar tricks:
- the first is my original intended solution in Prince of Wateria level 8,
- the second is yaqxsw's improved version without taking damage.

You can land on the right-most edge of a closed gate tile (or alternatively a tapestry + floor tile) using a running jump to the left from two floors up.
I captured the attached video from DOSBox (for some reason it's not the best quality though?)

Wow, very cool new trick!
[Edit: Below is the trick that Falcury found. His video uses slightly different rooms, but this doesn't affect the trick itself.]

Re: Guide to Prince of Persia tricks (Large Topic)
SuavePrince or someone else who's good - better than I - at tricks, we could still use someone to check tricks with MININIM.
More information here; latest MININIM here.
When we know which of the tricks work and which don't:
1. oitofelix can more easily assess which tricks that do not yet work are worthy of his attention (in the context of MININIM's design goals), and
2. I could add checkboxes on the trick pages to indicate MININIM support, which would in turn allow (future) modders to consciously decide if they will or will not exclusively work with tricks that work across all PoP1 implementations.

Thanks for this initiative, Norbert. I genuinely support it. By the way, you just made me realize I've been writing the word "assessment" incorrectly all along. What a silly mistake!
