Yes! It was the same link of programmer

I downloaded pop 1.3, but the link for pop1.4 doesn't work...

Reading the file Manual.txt I was surprised by this:

Secret Keys
-----------

While searching through memory in my kracking quest, I came across
some strange code that turned out to be a check for a series of keys.
I discovered that if you hold down a special key (won't tell which one -
find out for yourself) and press one of the following keys during
boot-up, you will get a keen treat. Here is a summary of what each
secret key does (I won't tell you exactly what they do so that it will
be as much a pleasant surprise for you as it was for me).

DELETE - Press the arrow keys (works only on the //gs)
RETURN - Neat-o
! - Message from authors (press any key after this one for
something else)
@ - Pretty cool
^ - Move your joystick around for this one

Get ready for one kick-butt game.

Can You tell me please which's that special button? :)

I think the manual.txt is for the Apple II version of Prince of Persia released in 1989(!).
The "special key" is supposedly both Apple keys, as stated here in a slightly modified version of the manual text file :

http://apple2.org.za/gswv/a2zine/Docs/P ... siaDoc.txt

The correct doc file for the IBM versionl of Prince of Persia can be found here :

http://www.apple2.org.za/mirrors/ftp.ap ... persia.doc

Like it says, "Get ready for one kick-ass game." More than 15 Years of kicking and counting still... :P

1.4 is a version that was changed to be more compatible with modern CPUs and operating systems. it was coded especially for the POP collection pack. POP2 was also revised in a similar manner. they forced VGA in the case of 1.4 POP1 because ALL modern cpus and dos boxes have vga support

Hi, I'm new here. Upon downloading the 1.4 version from the links provided in this thread, I noticed that it appeared to be a hacked version.
Before PoPUW went down, I backed up the version from his site. So, here is the original, uncracked 1.4 version of Prince of Persia (Copy Protection is included).

Where can I find a cracked version of POP 1.4? In the version available at http://princeofpersia.ppa.pl/down.html you need the manual to pass level 2, which is full of blue posions with letters on the top.

This isn't correct. 1.4 and 1.0 don't have the same level layouts. 1.4 has levels that look like the Konami SNES remake. Even the first level is different. I don't know about 1.3.

You sure you're not talking about the "SNES Levels" modification by hjalmar?

By the way, if it interests someone, here's all the colour schemes for each version:

1.0
Dungeons: Blue
Palaces: Yellow

1.3 and 1.4
Levels 1, 2 and Potions Level: Blue
Levels 4, 5, 6, 10 and 11: Yellow
Levels 3 and 7: Green
Levels 8 and 9: Brown
Levels 12a and 12b: Golden
Level 13: White

Just to make something clear: I will not reply to daft PMs like "Where can I find X?" or "Can you give me a link to Y?". Most of your questions are likely answerable if only you took your bloody time to look through these forums and use Google if all else fails. Sheesh...
