BackTable Overflow

Post by emrtss »

Messing around in apoplexy the other day. Stumbled across an error message which I had never seen before.

I'm curious, what does this mean? I have not been able to find anything on it by simply googling.
This is how the apoplexy room looks, http://i.imgur.com/wLjswAm.png

The cause of the "BackTable Overflow" is similar to that of the "Trobs Overflow" and "DRects Overflow" errors...

...namely too much (of the same) stuff in a room. No doubt David could give you details.
The screenshot of apoplexy, you placed more than nine gates. (The custom tile's "4" is the foreground number for gates.)
The Lost in Errors mod may include one or more of these overflow errors, I'm not sure.

The BackTable is where info about back-layer images is stored before drawing them.
It has room for 200 images.
Now, a gate consists of much more images than most other tiles.
(Because its moving part is sliced into 8px high parts.)
Therefore it can overflow the table easier.

I know this ;) For example here at beginning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5hUi4Uofto

Overflog bug will appear, when you add to many function objects (gates, drinks, chompers, lose tiles) in one room.

Just for the record MININIM has no such arbitrary limitations.
