Questions about the forum itself
Questions about the forum itself
Hi everyone, I have used other forums by phpbb:
https://www.phpbb.com/community/memberl ... &u=1974026
And I found an interesting difference, in that forum posts need to be approved or disapproved, I would like to know Why you disabled that?
In this forum you can post without confirmation

I think it is not really a good idea because sometimes you will need help and it is better to have your post instantly in so more people can see it and help and also what problem can happen? this is forum for communication and searching for opinions so there is no need for delays in postsEmiliano Fierro wrote: ↑May 19th, 2020, 12:05 am Hi everyone, I have used other forums by phpbb:

Hi there, I know I'm not the appropiate to ask this
I see that in other phpBB forums you have different smiles
Did you miss allowing them or simply skipped?
I would also like to know if are you registered in that other forum

Maybe some moderator can merge both
Re: Questions about the forum itself
For a long time ago I have wanted to know what are these icons at the left of every topic
And why some of them are at the top, is it about importance?
I want to know about the four red-circled icons
Thanks.

Re: Questions about the forum itself
The top ones, are the announcement topics.
Re: Questions about the forum itself
Yeah, the ones with "i" are announcements.
The "!" are sticky topics that always are above other (non-sticky) topics.
The fire icon means the thread contains a lot of posts.
And the other icon just means it's a regular forum thread.
Re: Questions about the forum itself
And finally, the red star in the corner of the icons probably means that you have posted in that topic.
I think so because the filenames of such icons contain "mine".
I tried to find the explanation of the icons in the phpBB user's guide but I didn't find anything.
