There was another Macintosh emulator called ARDI Executor.
This page has a working download link.
For instructions, go to http://popuw.com/windows.html and scroll down to "Another tutorial using ARDI Executor".

But the last time I tried, I could not run PoP using Executor...

And then there is Mini vMac. But I had no luck with that, either.

And there is a list of more emulators.

What problems do you have with Basilisk II, by the way?

Okay, I tried ARDI Executor again, and now it worked!
First, install it from here: http://emaculation.com/doku.php/executor_setup

To be able to start the game, you have two choices:

a) Install it from this archive: http://web.archive.org/web/200509282157 ... Prince.hqx
The downloaded file should be 1.2 MB. If it's 800kB then something decoded it while downloading. That is bad.
Then follow the instructions at http://popuw.com/windows.html, "Another tutorial using ARDI Executor".
At step 10, you will see "This archive is damaged.". This is not a problem.
As step 11 says, find the new PrinceofPersia.sit file and double-click it. It's a self-extracting file.

b) You can copy the disk image from Basilisk with .HFV extension to the folder of ARDI Executor.
Then, after you start Executor, click the top-left of the six (2×3) icons in the top left corner, and find the disk image among the drives.

I could get only PoP1 to work.
PoP2 stops with an error: "Fatal error. encountered unknown, unimplemented trap `A05C'."
