I finally took the time to try the game itself.

* Everything is too dark brown, at least on level 1 and 2. It's quite hard to see some floors because of that.
The non-important lamps are more visible than the important floors.
The readme says that there will be a desert after the gold mine. It's probably brighter... unless it's night.

* Instead of loose floors, there are turning floors in a variety of shapes (cross, L, T, straight).

* There are some arrow guns that shoot you when you run away from them. Ouch.
They are somewhat similar to PoP2 wall-spikes.

* This game is quite slow-paced, especially when I have to wait the slow falling to the bottom of the pits.
Loading a saved game does not work while falling, but quitting does. Why?

* It's not obvious where do you exit the level. Can you find it on the map below?

* On the good side, you can save the game at any point, and you can continue at the exact same place.

* Zorro appears brighter when near a lamp.

* The level 1 (and 2) starts with a gate closing behind you, like in PoP1. There are no other gates, though.

Here is an almost-complete map of level 1:

There is one more room in the top-right corner, but I couldn't get there.
The other greyed areas are just walls.

Perhaps it's in the room you couldn't map?

Nope, the exit is in the dead-end in the bottom-right room.

In the meantime, I completed the game and made maps of all levels.
I can post them if anyone is interested.

And a funny thing: You can make guards' pants fall with your whip. :)

Btw, this level is quite similar to a PoP1 dungeon, complete with brick walls, guards, pressure plates and skeletons.

While I'm not necessarily interested myself, it'd make sense to share them publicly, seeing you already put in the effort and it might potentially be useful to someone some day.
