Thanks for sharing. Yes it's very similar.
Re: Zorro: yet another game that is suspiciously similar to PoP
I finally took the time to try the game itself.
* Everything is too dark brown, at least on level 1 and 2. It's quite hard to see some floors because of that.
The non-important lamps are more visible than the important floors.
The readme says that there will be a desert after the gold mine. It's probably brighter... unless it's night.
* Instead of loose floors, there are turning floors in a variety of shapes (cross, L, T, straight).
* There are some arrow guns that shoot you when you run away from them. Ouch.
They are somewhat similar to PoP2 wall-spikes.
* This game is quite slow-paced, especially when I have to wait the slow falling to the bottom of the pits.
Loading a saved game does not work while falling, but quitting does. Why?
* It's not obvious where do you exit the level. Can you find it on the map below?
* On the good side, you can save the game at any point, and you can continue at the exact same place.
* Zorro appears brighter when near a lamp.
* The level 1 (and 2) starts with a gate closing behind you, like in PoP1. There are no other gates, though.
Here is an almost-complete map of level 1: There is one more room in the top-right corner, but I couldn't get there.
The other greyed areas are just walls.

Perhaps it's in the room you couldn't map?
Re: Zorro: yet another game that is suspiciously similar to PoP
Nope, the exit is in the dead-end in the bottom-right room.
In the meantime, I completed the game and made maps of all levels.
I can post them if anyone is interested.
And a funny thing: You can make guards' pants fall with your whip. Btw, this level is quite similar to a PoP1 dungeon, complete with brick walls, guards, pressure plates and skeletons.
