Hey, Isn't the guy in the white to the left of Aladdin Guybrush Threepwood from the original Monkey Island?
And isn't the egg-guy to the left of Pac-Man Dizzy the egg?

Let's see whether I recognize them...
- Prince of Persia -- Yes. :)
- Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis -- No.
- Lemmings -- Yes, played it a few times.
- Worms -- No.
- Pacman -- Yes, though here he looks a bit 3D-ish...
- Superfrog -- Yes, although I haven't played it, but I have seen its intro and its (self-)parody. (MovieSetter, you say?)
- Golden Axe -- No.
- Simon the Sorcerer -- No.
- Disney's Aladdin -- Yes, played it many times, it is/was one of my favorites.
- Robocop -- No.
- Zool -- Yes, I played it only a few times, long ago.
- Mortal Kombat -- No.
- Loom -- No.
- Bubble Bobble -- I didn't recognize it, although I played a few times.
- Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge -- I didn't play it, but I recognized Guybrush because he appeared in a PoP video by Gal Shemesh (level 8), and in the aspect ratio article.
- Ghostbusters -- No.
- Another World -- No. Played only once, but I remember I didn't really like it...
- Battle Chess -- Played a few times, but I didn't recognize the Blue Queen... Maybe because I played the DOS version that has different colors.

Also, that elegantly dressed man (next to the blonde bikini beauty) reminds me of Basil Fawlty...

That fpfunny1.png, 800x600, so tiny when we look at it now.
And I remember it being a big improvement over 640x480. :)

Episode 4 of season 4 of The Goldbergs shows/mentions PoP:
(Nothing more than what's included in the video below.)

"Wow, is that Prince of Persia!?" :)
And someone playing it on an Apple II.
Level 1, room 20. :) (that one with the gate-closer button)

And floppy disks... floppy disks everywhere! (Mostly on the top of screens.)

Our (elementary school) computer lab did not have PoP...
Instead it had that unofficial DOS port of Mario that could not be finished.

Yeah, although if you look at his finger movements, I'm not sure he really was.
So, maybe they inserted footage on the monitor in post-production, maybe even from the DOS version?
David wrote:And floppy disks... floppy disks everywhere! (Mostly on the top of screens.)
Oh, I hadn't even seen that yet.
The footage is all from the same fragment, they just did a bit of non-PoP talking in between, so it looks like a continuity mistake?
I mean, I don't see the disks in the first shot.

Now that you say...

The walls seem quite white, as in the Apple II version.
And I see no status bar at the bottom.

On PoPUW I used to have this avatar:

You can see it for example here: http://www.popot.org/popuw_forum_archive/819a.html

Here is the video from which I made it: viewtopic.php?p=13613#p13613 (guard_vs_guard)
OGV version: http://www.princed.org/videos/PoP2_bugs ... _guard.ogv

It seems that some people quite liked it: viewtopic.php?p=5661#p5661

Maybe doppelganger got the idea from here?

I posted on MININIM forum a pixel art piece I made of its logo. Now I created a timelapse of another piece with the kid sprite from PoP 2.

PS. I know, I know, I have to get another song for my PoP related videos ;)

Actually, this is the first time I hear this song...

So what is it, anyway? Midomi says:
title: Time Only Knows
artist: Stuart Chatwood
And Amazon also tells that:
album: Prince of Persia Trilogy (Original Game Soundtracks)
Oh, yeah.
singer: Cindy Gomez

I have heard lots of game music, but it's rare to have singing...
"At night, I sleep and dream of you,"
[Hey, does your wife know you listen to such things? :) ]

Maybe from this, for instance the level 12d music:

Speaking of the level 12 music...

If my guesses are correct, then 12c is the princess level, and 12d is the special battle-with-Jaffar level.
level_12c.mp3 is 4 minutes long, level_12d.mp3 is 7 minutes long.
Aren't these a bit long compared to the levels?

Is this another case of music longer than level?

I found this: http://www.collectedcurios.com/HTP_028_ ... ia_360.jpg
It says "Prince of Persia (360)", this might refer to the XBox 360. And it's dated 2009.
According to this page, only PoP 2008 was released for that system before that year.
