SPARTA reminds me of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations

Phoenix : No, Maya, that is SPARDA.

Norbert added a new page on PoPOT for these: http://www.popot.org/comics_art.php

@PoP 12.jpg: Who is that woman next to the PoP1 princess?
Is she supposed to be the PoP2 princess?

This review for PoP on the Sega Master System has some original art on the first page.
The prince reminds me Son Goku or Naruto...
And what is the princess wearing? :? Better yet, what is she *not* wearing? :D

There is a webcomic called VG Cats, about two cats playing the roles of characters of various Video Games.

In their archive, there are two strips about PoP: (Sands of Time, I think. I never played it.)
http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=83 -- About putting the dagger into the Sands of Time.
http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=85 -- About ripping clothes. I don't really think it's based on anything in the game...

Beware, though, there are some strips (not these two) that are quite violent or NSFW...

It's based on everything in the game. What the prince-cat does in the comic, the same does the prince in Sands of Time.

Hm, you're probably right... (Again, I did not play Sands of Time.)
I searched for prince of persia sands of time ripping clothes and I found this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5mVwVLQtME wrote:I have no idea why he keeps ripping off his clothes like some softporn wannabe, maybe he just wants to show himself off!
And this:
http://allthetropes.wikia.com/wiki/Clothing_Damage wrote:Prince of Persia
The title character combines this with a Shirtless Scene by the end of The Sands of Time, as his shirt is gradually damaged more and more by the swordfights he gets into.
Parodied in this strip of VG Cats.
And...

I liked how he kept ripping his clothes off bit by bit as the game progressed.... I mean, no I didn't.
Great, now someone's going to post that VGcats comic.
Okay, it seems we have come full circle... :)

Thanks for your answer!

Some time ago I found an abandonware site that tells (among others) whether they consider a game to be violent.
The interesting part: For PoP4D they show a picture of the prince spiked, but despite that, they say "Violence: No".
(Well, to be honest, there are games that are much more violent... making PoP1 pale in comparison.)

I can't find the site anymore, all I have is this screenshot: (Red rectangles and "Eh?" by me. :) )

Thank you, Norbert!
The site itself still exists, but they don't have PoP4D anymore.
They don't rate games for violence anymore, either.

Minimalist indeed.
It the author experimenting with "what measure is a non-copyright-infringement", perhaps? :)

Hey, this text is from a picture I saw back on PoPUW...
You can find it here: http://forums.xkcd.com/viewtopic.php?p=1842182#p1842182 :)

So many characters...
I seem to have something for these kinds of pictures.
It can be interesting to try and find those whom you know... I could find only a handful on this one.

One of the earlier posts had another similar picture.
That one has more familiar characters (and logos and whatnot), though.

There may be more you know than you'd think at first glance.

I did a fairly quick check and recognize (as attached):
- Prince of Persia
- Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
- Lemmings (2x)
- Worms
- Pacman
- Superfrog
- Golden Axe
- Simon the Sorcerer
- Disney's Aladdin
- Robocop
- Zool
- Mortal Kombat
- Loom
- Bubble Bobble
- Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge
- Ghostbusters (I think)

They are really packed together, which makes it more difficult to recognize some of them.

Actually, I also recognize Another World.
Top left, above the Fate of Atlantis characters.
This character, like several others, is really tiny, which also makes it more difficult to recognize.

Ah, and the blue princess in the foreground is from Battle Chess. :)

[Edit: If you check the page source, the meta "description" (and "keywords") lists several of them: "Barbarian, Double Dragon, Dizzy, Golden Axe, Rodland, Lemmings, Bubble Bobble, New Zealand Story, Worms, Sensible Soccer, Flood, Rainbow Islands, Speedball 2, James Pond, IK+, Prince of Persia, Monkey Island, Zool, Zack McKracken, Moonstone, Pang, Supercars 2, Ghostbusters, Bomberman, Magic Pockets, Rick Dangerous"]
