Short update: since July 7th, I've added some documentation, new versions of two level editors, and a whole bunch of mods.
With the exception of robert's mods (for now), every mod that was changed more than a tiny bit (or will be finished in the future) is now on popot.org.
So, that work is finally done. Time to work on the other stuff on my PoP TODO list... :D

I've just added a page about all known tricks:
http://www.popot.org/documentation.php?doc=Tricks
(I'll update that page each time a new trick has been found.)

I'm going to focus my attention on a mod I'm working on, so I won't be working on popot.org for a while.

I don't like it. Looks amateur.

Talking about amateurism, you moved to pro gay filming yet?

Let it be, Miloš. I know you may still be sour that Norbert may have been the cause for Jalal to take down the forums, but Jalal said on his site that an archive will be up sometime soon. And besides, Norbert is a pretty nice guy. Sure, those gayness quips may be a staple of yours (see you trolling my 11-year-old self along with eni-7), but mind toning it down a notch?

Just to make something clear: I will not reply to daft PMs like "Where can I find X?" or "Can you give me a link to Y?". Most of your questions are likely answerable if only you took your bloody time to look through these forums and use Google if all else fails. Sheesh...

Today, I've also added all these (eleven) mods by robert.

In the shoutbox, robert mentioned some mods/levels on the RoomShaker website that could also be added to popot.org.

Nine PoP1 mods/packs are mentioned here.
I already have six of those (1xMek, 4xSteven, 1xBrendon).
I still need to add: Alternate 3 by Brendon, a level by Mike, and the packs by Edward.

Problems:
- The packs by Edward (he was probably "The Edster" at popuw.com) appear to be broken, maybe they are in some kind of ancient, custom RoomShaker format?
- I don't know which Mike "Mike" is. At princed.org we have MP, mickey96/musa and mmitch, to name some, and at popuw.com there were "Mike Haggar" and "Grateful Mike", to name some. Of course I could just use "Mike" as the author name. (No point to ask Brendon, as he won't reply to e-mails.)

Two PoP2 mods are mentioned here.
I still need to add both. No idea about John's nick. (It's not John Wain, because Wain is Alexandru.)

I'll add the stuff next weekend.

Open them in a hex editor, remove the following things:
- 31 30 30 30 0D 0A from the beginning,
- 0D 0A 31 30 30 30 0D 0A from all over the file,
- 0D 0A 41 37 0D 0A from near the end,
- 0D 0A 30 0D 0A 0D 0A from the end.
After this, they should be usable.

What I don't know is why are these insertions there? They spell out the numbers "1000", "A7" and "0", which tell the length of the following data block (in hexadecimal).

Maybe it was because of HTTP/1.1's chunked transfer encoding.
From here: "My second clue was that the values were typically 1000 and 0. Although respresented with ASCII codes in the file, if you interpret them as hex they are 4096 and 0. When doing buffered I/O a 4K buffer is very common as is getting a 0 back from a read function when you reach EOF."
May have to do with a website where people could upload PoP related files, like the now defunct ultimateprince.com.
Anyway, thanks for the information, it should allow me to create proper packages for the mods.

Is it somehow related to the princed site?
The forum names in the (archived) forum search page look similar to those of this forum.
Also, the download links in the uploads section all point to the princed site.
The only user profiles I could find belong to ecco and poirot.

Wait... There is a link to the site here: viewtopic.php?f=73&t=389

Could be.
All history though, the code has long since changed. :)

Another short update. The last 2 months, I've updated popot.org in the following ways:
- Added a document about the copy protection potions.
- Added 13 trick videos.
- Added a video about PoP modding.
- Added a PoP1 to PoP2 level converter.
- Added a SNES Password Analyser.
- Added information about SNES passwords.
- Added a PoP1 FAQ/walkthrough document.
- Added A Place Of Despair.
- Added a new CusPop release (version 2.1).
- Added ten old mods.
- Added a page about Cruel World.
- Added David's Levels.

In addition to that, the following (suggested by Jakim in this thread) now works:
http://popot.org/trick/42
(Of course, 42 can be replaced with any trick number.)
