Not to prick your bubble mk, and I may be wrong here, but if Jalal retains control of the site, then the admin/domain registrant info. should reflect his name rather than the registrar's. For example: Quote: Domain ID:D149334276-LROR Domain Name:PRINCED.ORG Created On:06-Oct-2007 18:19:46 UTC Last Updated On:19-Aug-2009 11:50:30 UTC Expiration Date:06-Oct-2011 18:19:46 UTC Sponsoring Registrar:MyDomain, Inc. (R92-LROR) (data, data, data) Registrant Country:AR Registrant Phone:+54.1152881258 Registrant Phone Ext.: Registrant FAX: Registrant FAX Ext.: See the registrant info. mentioned above? IMO, popuw.com has most probably reverted back to the registrar. Again, I might be wrong and until Jalal confirms or denies, there's no use speculating further I guess... The domain had been under jalal's brother's name and after that day (I've been following this domain expiration very carefully) it changed to the registrar. I just hope Jalal send us the .sql data with the forum so we can import the messages back, I have to encourage you to send him more mails to show him that we are still here waiting. I've already sent him an mail remembering about his promise to send me the data but he didn't reply, I just hope he didn't delete the files. He is very busy now so we must show him that it is very important to us so he can take that time. PS: Now you know my snail address I expect no less than a yearly-sent Christmas card from each one of you!

So we probably won't have to wait that much longer.

It would really be a huge loss if he's deleted them. poirot wrote: PS: Now you know my snail address I expect no less than a yearly-sent Christmas card from each one of you! Meh. No point getting our hopes up. I'll believe it when I see it.

I can send you a postcard of my city at Christmas... I think sending xmas cards are a bit fake. I think you lost the updates I did at my CusPop (now works with packed/unpacked and it has the beta options too!!!) and PR Executor (old PR Front-End) with a brand-new PR.DLL built using MinGW C/C++ Compilter with all the functions exported. I developed another tool called "Easy Events Assigner", I commented about it in one of RoomShaker topics, I even asked Brendon to release the source code of his RoomShaker like I did with my apps, but that dude, I think he is a bit selfish. About the "Easy Events Assigner", I think I will release it soon... Nice to see you again... ;-)

Meet PoPUW in all its glory!Keep in mind, though, that this is only archived content. But it's something after all!

That's where much of the developer information is copied from, and some pages are missing. Well, archive.org is quite old website and as far as I remember, it's always been extremely slow.

I doubt anything will be with popuw. Jalal is in Canada now, finishing his university. He has better, and more useful places to be right now :)

is it just a reminder ? or is it the public one ? The Internet Archive Wayback Machine caches popuw.com from May 09, 2005 to Apr 30, 2008: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://popuw.comYour link was obviously cached on Mar 19, 2008, which isn't even the latest. Moreover, you might have suddenly discovered the page just now, but they've always been available ever since they were captured and stored. As for it being the "public one", what do you mean? That the original site has resurfaced? programmer already mentioned the archive.org website just two posts above yours, so how did you confuse that with popuw.com appearing again? I think it's high time we not post anything in this topic unless we really have something new to discuss.

He told the same thing to me, albeit slightly more detailed. Jalal said he's almost done with forum recovery and that the site might be up again sometime next month.
Though I'm afraid I have to choke your happiness about PoPUW coming back very soon. Cause Jalal told me that he's not very positive as to whether PoPUW will regain its former popularity now that most of us have settled down here at Princed and that it pretty much functions the same as PoPUW did. And now that we've got one more or less active PoP forum, he's not sure if it's a good idea to dance on two wedding parties if you know what I mean...
Tried to reassure Jalal, but I can't speak for everybody. Would you return to PoPUW the moment it's back up again?

Being a regular member or like he did putting me in the ranking of "Developer" without extra capabilities. Forget it.
I deserve that as I developed three very useful programs for the POP community. Talking like this makes you deserve a normal user status rather than global moderator.

I'm sorry to prick your bubble, but Jalal's a far different admin from poirot. Asking for moderator status won't get you anywhere with him - you gotta do much, much more than that. And the fact that you provide us with invaluable tools doesn't justify becoming a moderator - even less becoming a global one. Sure, I ain't any better for asking poirot to make me a global mod here, but we're talking about Jalal. I can tell you from my own experience he declined my wish of becoming a moderator when I asked him. Not sure if he'd see me worthy of the rank now that I'm doing that job here at Princed, but frankly I'd actually be quite fine if I was an ordinary hyperactive member. Also, the only reason I asked poirot to make me a mod was because of all the trouble with spambots Princed had and I just couldn't sit there motionless. I wanted to help!
