Yeah, the FM Towns and TurboGrafx-16 versions behave differently, it seems.

Tried that, but the prince still doesn't grab the ledge in time...

could you recreate the trap room in ms-dos and escape it?

on pc-98 version i have trouble doing the creep along the ground move. i think it may be emulation related, though, because sometimes i'm able to o it for a few steps, but very rarely.

can you do the ground creep move on pc-98 or fm towns? if so what emulator is used?

I can't do it the usual way (down and then left/right), but:
What I can do is crouch-while-running.
And sometimes, I can make the prince do a single crouch-hop move while doing that. (Once he hopped *twice*!)
I have to release the left/right key and press down for that.

But it's quite hard, it needs precise timing, and it seems I can't do it anymore!? :?

What's odd is that numpad 1 and 3 are mapped to down+left and down+right.
As in PoP2 (DOS). But in PoP2 they are much more useful.

It's probably a bit late, but...

If I delete all tracks from the CUE except the second: it shows an error message about the "File Cabinet", and then shows black screen.
I could finally make the game work in Turbo Engine as well.
It turns out that this emulator simply "doesn't like" the CUE file that I tried to use.
Maybe because it's in CUE+ISO+MP3/WAV format, but the Readme says that "For CD ROM images, Turbo Engine only supports CUE/BIN/ISO + OGG/MPC."

The PC Engine files from this site work in both Turbo Engine and Mednafen: http://www.planetemu.net/?section=reche ... oms&page=2
