Why is it not necessary to temporarily go down again before jumping to remove that ceiling tile?
Is that because you start on a floor instead of another platform?

I think you're right.
If I remove the floor where the loose floor breaks, the kid will fall down after jumping up.
When climbing up, the game aligns the kid differenly depending on whether there is a floor behind him. The difference is 2 pixels.
