Feature suggestion.

Speed change options from the japanese versions.

How this works.
There is a separate move speed and fight speed coded into the game.

When out of combat the move speed is used, and when in combat, the fight speed is used. this speed is (i think) the number of real 60fps frames per game frame. speed 1 runs the game at 60fps. The real time counter is unaffected by this.

Many versions of the game (sega cd, x6800, tg16, and probably others) have these speed adjustment option. typically move is speeed 3 and fight is speed 4.

Note that these are official versions of the game that have this feature.

Also note that may japanese versions have an extra "true jaffar" battle right in front of the princess. This might be an interesting idea.

If you disregard the silly cutscenes, the sega cd version is actually pretty darn amazing.

Thank you for the suggestion!
I am not familiar with the Japanese versions. But sure, it would not be too difficult to add an option to adjust the game speeds.

Lots of emulators seem to use backquote (`) to speed up gameplay.
This would also be a useful feature for watching replays, by the way.

In SDLPoP those speeds are here: https://github.com/NagyD/SDLPoP/blob/ma ... 003.c#L303
