Is there an issue with the difficulty 8 guards in apoplexy?

Windows and Linux editor of PoP1 (for DOS and SNES) and PoP2 (for DOS).

Is there an issue with the difficulty 8 guards in apoplexy?

While creating my mod I often figured out that If I set a guard to the difficulty level 8
he won't attack.
I've tried this a few times the guards are just standing there and taking the hits till dead.
This only happend if I set them up to difficulty 8. :?
Even the guards of difficulty 0 are more attacking. :lol:

Maybe there Is an issue with it?

It is correct the way it currently is. :)
When you look at the PoP1 Guard Types document, you'll see his striking probability is 0.
That guard is not used in the original game.
He does attack when you sheath (holster) your sword though.
