Dr. Strange: Eh, what's this? My mantra?
Baron Mordo: It's the wifi password... We're not savages.

Suicide Squad currently rated 4.9/10 (31%) at Rotten Tomatoes, and 42/100 at Metacritic.
Too bad. Looks like maybe they did a good job with the trailers but not with the actual film.

I recently watched Arrival (2016).
The 'plot twist' made the film a little better, but overall it was too slow for my liking.
I watched about 1/3 of the film at 2.5x speed, to not get too bored.

Do you frequently speed up slow films?
And what happens to the sound then? Will the people get chipmunk voices?

I'd say occasionally, not frequently. It's not slowness an sich that's the trigger. It is when a film sets a scene or is trying to be art(s)y, while I already get the point or am not impressed. These moments, when the plot isn't moving forward, usually coincide with shots that do not include conversations. Life's too short for that kind of filler. There are slow and lengthy film fragments that I don't speed up. For instance, if it helps me feel a character's emotions. Arrival is 116 minutes, they could have easily cut that down to, say, 90. In my opinion, of course.
