The Talos Principle will get a VR mode that'll also run on GNU/Linux.
I can't wait to play this with VR.

Yeah!! VR on Linux with SteamVR now works for me.
Just got myself Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter.
Awesome stuff.

[Edit:]
Being able to hold a gun in each hand, hold your arms out and point the guns around corners, look around corners too, and hold a gun up to your face to look down the sight. Vibrating controllers. I don't feel like looking up when exactly I ordered the Vive, but I've been waiting to really use it for about a year. Speaking of looking up, high structures and enemies on higher planes are great in VR.

I also played Destinations, together with a friend who also uses a Vive on Linux.
Even something simple as playing catch is fun. It's difficult to explain why.
We also flew small planes around, also entertaining. It's like a bar, but filled with toys.

I really want to try this.
Unfortunately I think it will be some time before I get around to buying a Vive. Maybe I should just wait for the second generation...
Not entirely unrelated: how great would it be if somebody found a way to make the hyperbolic time chamber possible.

I was searching for "endeavouraccuracy" (the username that Norbert uses elsewhere), and...

Wut. That picture is from earlier in this thread. viewtopic.php?p=20159#p20159

Google's first results are a bit more relevant: https://www.google.hu/search?q=endeavou ... y&tbm=isch (Spock!)

How exactly are these "Not entirely unrelated"? :)

Sorry then, I don't know much about Star Trek...

That's all right. :)

For future reference, here are the two actors who have portrayed adult Spock.
If you see another actor as a Vulcan, it's (most likely) not Spock.

The parenthesized part reminds me of "Ceci n'est pas une pipe.". :)

Dunno, but I find it hard to notice the difference when I'm not seeing them together...
And somehow the middle photo seems to be more different from the other two than those other two from each other.

Somewhat related:

I found these a few days ago:
http://boingboing.net/2007/09/30/trekke ... -bowl.html
http://boingboing.net/2007/09/25/furrie ... ngons.html
And my first thought was: "Furry e.g. me and Trekker e.g. Norbert?" :D

(Okay, I'm not sure how much are you into Star Trek, but you (seem to) know more about it than me, and you mentioned it here.)

I get what you mean.
In this case, even in-universe, Surak wasn't really there.
He's also addressed as being an "image", a mental/optical picture/projection.

Yes, it's definitely easier to tell them apart if you'd be more familiar with Leonard Nimoy.

The middle photo is from a modern film.

I like Star Trek when it's actually Trek (slow/difficult journey; discovering) and not (Star) Wars.
But probably not enough to truly be a Trekkie.
It must be easier to bowl in a Klingon costume than a Furry costume though...

Time to be "random" again...

The other day, I was browsing the links section of a site I had known for about a year: http://www.namirdeiter.com/links.html
My eyes got caught on this link: Elysian Tail (You know, the game I found in December.)
And I was like: Waddefffff!?!?!?? (Maybe I meant "What the Fidget?" Image)
It was there all the time, I probably already saw it, but the title just didn't seem exciting enough for me to click it.
Oh well.

Another website-story:
I took a look at http://www.shardsuniverse.net/ (linked from the same page).
After scanning the main page, I clicked one of the links ("Origins"), and I got "The requested page can't be found.".
Oh well, then go back to the main page.
That, too, says "The requested page can't be found.".
What?
Either I broke the site, or more likely, the owner began updating it just then, or something.

Update: Hey, it came back!
Let's see the "Origins" again... What, it broke the main page again?
"I'll just leave it here and pretend that this thing never happened..."
(Random appropriate quote, like you did here and here. :) I just prefer comics to videos.)

Norbert wrote: It must be easier to bowl in a Klingon costume than a Furry costume though...
Probably; I haven't tried either of these...

But I just found an article about it: https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Fursuit_bowling
Yeah, fursuiters have difficulties. Mainly because of the paws.

Something like a hologram?

Speaking about Star Trek, I found this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Rock ... _spock.png
My favorite part is:
Spoiler: show
"Paper disproves Spock". :)

And can you guess what did this remind me of? --> http://langlang.comicgenesis.com/d/20000712.html
Spoiler: show
"Ceci n'est pas une pipe."

That reminds me of Strong Bad Email episode 50.
When the character Strong Bad walks away from his PC, his buddy Homestar accidentally crashes the PC.
It's funny how Homestar tries to 'solve' the problem.

Oh yeah, the error message(s). :)

(It's Homestar Runner, by the way.)

But if you focus too hard, you can see that the balls don't quite rebound off the sides or other balls as they should.

Yes, I agree.
Source is http://imgur.com/gallery/ye8K28b, by the way.
At least, that's where I found it; I wonder who created it...

Yeah, it's not 100% right.
But impressive CGI nonetheless.
