Top 10 posters on the 10th of March 2010

Post by mk1995 »

Had no real reason for that, but it could provide as a source for discussion.

(Note: I was not trying to gain the top-posting rank!)

Just to make something clear: I will not reply to daft PMs like "Where can I find X?" or "Can you give me a link to Y?". Most of your questions are likely answerable if only you took your bloody time to look through these forums and use Google if all else fails. Sheesh...

Prince of Persia, with 1000 posts, if I am not mistaken.
programmer wrote:OMG. Do I really spam this much?

*quick look at profile*

...not really. 0.21 posts a day is hardly spamming
1.25 posts a day here. And I only have 12.05% of all the posts here. But whatever...

Well, it is funny you find things to discuss around here. I remember last time (on PoP-UW) I had around 1800 posts when they closed down, with an average (out the top of my head) of around 6 posts/day*. Here I don't find anything worth saying any more. Whatever, I'm still coming over to see you guys and gals, from time to time. :)

* I remember mk1994 with, what was it, 35 posts/day? and a huge accusation of being a spammer...

When I first registered to PoPUW, I had 50 posts a day, so I gained a rank every day (since, you know, your rank increased once every 50 posts). But a good time later, my posts-a-day decreased up until about 20. Surely they went down more and more when I was gone for a while (I wish it really would've been only a while - since PoPUW went down), but when it came to posting, I was so ahead of the others... I kept the first rank until the end.

Beats me, though, why people considered me a spammer. Sure, it must be due to my quantity of posts-a-day and the fact that my posts weren't the most productive of them all (Hey, I was only 11/12 at that time, sue me!), but I never really intended to spam the forums. It just happened that there was lots I could contribute to (in a more or less productive way) and all those games in the off-topic section just invited you to legitimately increase your post count...

Ha, ha! That made my day, Neogogeta. I'll go to sleep with a smile on my face... though technically you're correct about PoP 1 & 2 being from the last century, to my mind the phrase conveys the meaning of '100 years', so...

Now go check what "founded" means.
Oh please... Did you know English any better when you were 10? OK, maybe he does use an online translator, but still... A bad English is no excuse to publicly bash someone, as far as I know.

Hey people! We are just a lot of foreigners speaking bad english...

We think we know english but we know our english will never be the english of an american or an english, australian, etc. Get the last three posters here including me...

- programmer speaks polish natively
- mk1995 speaks german natively
- tristan1993 speaks dutch natively
- and I speak natively the awesome portuguese!!!

How could we meet each other if we hadn't a common language?

Simple: Meet at some place in the world and talk English.

Or what did you mean?
