What are you working on?

Everything not related to Prince of Persia should be discussed here.

Last week I started a new job, PHP programming and related things.
It's 32 hours/week which is more than the last job I had (25 h/w), so less time to work on my own stuff.

You could give The Talos Principle a try.
Then again, you wrote you never buy games (online).
Hey, I'm looking to play that game some time.
It's currently on sale.
The bundle including DLC, or just the base game.

After that I'll continue working on my Zeldaesque game.
I decided not to improve poplaun.
I worked on (and just released) leapop instead.
So, finally time again to work on my Zeldaesque game.
As known, I did eventually also release poplaun 0.2.
I'm no longer working on the Zeldaesque game, because the person who did art stopped.
I have been working on two other things, one of which is PoP related.
For now, I'm keeping secret what both projects are.
Hopefully I can release the PoP thing before March this year.

The PoP release will be in a couple of days, so here's a bit of information about it.
It's apoplexy 3.1, and it adds two frequently asked features.
Yes, I decided to improve the program again after all.
The features will impact both (PoP1 for DOS) mod making and mod playing.
[Edit: released.]

I wonder which port is it...
I've been - and still am - working on yet another stand-alone PoP level editor.
It's about halfway done. I'll release it in 1-2 months, hopefully mid-June.

Which version could it be now?
We recently discussed level editors for PoP1 Mac, are you maybe making the level editor for that version?

I am experimenting with VPS hosting, which is surprisingly affordable these days (I got the cheapest one here).

I've made great progress and plan to release it either this weekend (2 or 3 June) or next weekend (9 or 10 June).
It is a level editor of Prince of Persia: Harem Adventures.
(The version for 176×208 screens that does not require the Nokia UI API and does not use packed images.)

Just for fun, some hints that it wasn't of the Macintosh port:
- I wrote "PoP level editor" and not "PoP1 level editor",
- I wrote I'd played Harem Adventures (+ "bit better than I expected"), and
- I wrote I'd not given the Macintosh version much thought because it's so similar to other versions (+ "maybe I should deliberately stay away from it, to give someone else the chance").

So, released. From "I've just played this version" to the release in 5 weeks. Not too bad, I think. Although I did work on it almost all of my free time during these weeks. (Programming (unrelated stuff) at work, programming pophale at home, etc.) Now it's time to relax for a while; time to play some games. :)

I bought an old, refurbished iMac A1224 a while back.
The plan is that I'll use it to create a macOS version of popyorn.
That and this are on my PoP TODO list for mid-October.

Making the trailer for my first mod. The main part of the game is approximately 90% complete, so I feel that I should release at least a preview, but more playtesting is needed to refine the difficulty and pacing of the game, so maybe some levels will differ a little from the final game. I am aiming for an October release.

I have some free days coming up, and I plan to spend some quality time doing PoP-related things :)
Here is one thing I plan to do: I recently acquired an old G4 Mac mini (mostly so I could install Mac OS 9 and natively run some old games - yeah, I had a wave of nostalgia...). This machine will hopefully allow me to check whether SDLPoP works on big endian machines. I wonder if I can get SDLPoP to compile and run on it.
I also need to do some maintenance that I have not yet got around to, such as fixing the HTTPS redirection bug on the Princed wiki.
