Btw, this is written on it:

Google Translate says it means "Thousand and three" in Persian.
Is this a reference to One Thousand and One Nights?

- Making modifications to tiles (such as making "stable" loose floors) "stable" loose floors are already available: Right-click on a loose floor, click Properties, check Selective Drop, OK. I agree it's quite hidden. - Lastly, Roomshaker that came with TotalPack version 2.06 (?)...

Re: drawmap - map drawing utility
+ Added optional 3D support for PoP1, with dungeon and palace. + In 3D mode, modifier values are taken into account. I see it uses the tile images of Apoplexy. This reminds me... I guess I should begin working on that level-screenshot feature of SDLPoP proposed here: http://forum.princed.org/viewto...

Re: Modding enhancements that exceeds original game
First of all congratulations, SDL-PoP is an amazing project. Thank you! Considering this port is backward compatible with original levels and mods I suspect that all game data limitations from the original DOS version are still there (max 13 levels, 24 rooms, 1 enemy type on a single level etc.). I...

Re: POPUW Topic
Even more updates on the 25th: http://popuw.com/news.html The single biggest new thing is the page with the Magazine Scans: http://popuw.com/magazines.html About various versions of PoP, in various languages. (It would be good if there were links back to "the many retro magazines archives"...

BTW, I wonder what happens to quotes in existing posts when phpBB is updated to a version that links to the quoted post.

Oh yeah, the error message(s).Norbert wrote:That reminds me of Strong Bad Email episode 50.
When the character Strong Bad walks away from his PC, his buddy Homestar accidentally crashes the PC.
It's funny how Homestar tries to 'solve' the problem.
(It's Homestar Runner, by the way.)

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)
Reminds me of your recent post here . Yeah, that's a manual implementation. :) It looks like the forum does not support non-BMP Unicode characters, for example most emojis. If I try to use some, I get this: "Your message contains the following unsupported characters:" HTML character entit...

Re: Random off-topic stuff
Time to be "random" again... The other day, I was browsing the links section of a site I had known for about a year: http://www.namirdeiter.com/links.html My eyes got caught on this link: Elysian Tail (You know, the game I found in December .) And I was like: Waddefffff!?!?!?? (Maybe I mea...

Re: Documentation (Prince of Persia 1 for SNES Regional Differences)
I have had a copy of that (and other console docs) for a few years.Norbert wrote:Nice find, that document https://github.com/gilligan/snesdev/blo ... llsnes.txt
It's originally here (HTML) and here (TXT).
I linked the copy on GitHub only because it lets me link to a specific line.

Re: PoP2 bugs
Towards the flame it depends on the distance. From the flame, it's always a standing jump and safe steps. I couldn't reproduce this, until I noticed that the prince faces right in your video when he dies. That is needed for this bug to happen. There are some other bugs related to the flame room: (a...

Re: Documentation (Prince of Persia 1 for SNES Regional Differences)
Why do we even think there are EU and US versions of PoP1 for SNES? Only 3(!) bytes differ between these two versions. Isn't it more likely that someone modified the (single) non-JP version, and then people thought there are two non-JP versions? Couldn't that "someone" be the developer or...

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)
It's theoretically possible that updating the board to phpBB 3.2 will help for the bugs in the forum configuration pages. Maybe we should do that soon in any case. Which version is currently installed? I don't see it anywhere, not even in the HTML source. BTW, here is a list of new features in 3.2:...

Not even SaveShad() could save the shadow from falling.Norbert wrote:Another bug I just found.
I thought the shadow makes safe steps until the edge and then does a standing jump.
Or does he do that only when coming back?
