Re: Directional sound

What I noticed is that when the very first loose floor (in room 1): - wobbles, the sound is correctly primarily on the right - it being the 4th tile from the right, - breaks in the room below, the sound is incorrectly primarily on the left. Re: Random off-topic stuff

Imgur has changed their terms of service and will soon delete "old, unused, and inactive content that is not tied to a user account". Hopefully Imgur images embedded on this forum still get enough (user/bot) views to survive. I just ran into a deleted Imgur image on the front page of a si...

Re: Directional sound

Unfortunately I can't hear any directionality, although distant sounds are softer. My guess is that you will hear it when using a headphone. I used headphones. But even then it's probably (too) subtle. Likely this is why I commented: Perhaps it's possible for the functionality to get 'Scaling metho...

Re: Directional sound

I merged Falcury's changes into a new branch: https://github.com/NagyD/SDLPoP/commits/directionalsound Unfortunately I can't hear any directionality, although distant sounds are softer. That's odd considering that it used to work for me . I even checked out the exact commit which worked for me, but ...

Re: How to compile SDLPoP on Windows?

In src folder is an executable named build.bat. When I clicked on it, a folder called "out" appeared. And in this folder is: "build\x64-debug" and under debug there are files Sorry, I am not familiar with compiling SDLPoP with Visual Studio. Is there a prince.exe among the files...

Re: How to replace DOS Sprite to Mac Sprite in SDL Pop?

Also the font looks very weird: Picture_2.PNG I see that all images in the font folder are antialiased, i.e. they use various shades of gray. SDLPoP displays all text as monochrome, which means anything that is not black becomes the color of the text. This breaks the antialiased character images. T...

Re: POP89 DOS rebuild of the SNES version?

Hello! Has anyone remade the 120 minute SNES version of POP89/90 in the DOS version? There are quite a few mods like that: SNES Levels (by ecco) SNES-PC-set (by mk1995) Persian Training Grounds (by mk1995) -- training levels Mods by kj-5349: SNES Remnants SNES Level 15 Forum thread about these two ...

Re: News Updates on Twitter and Facebook

(I tried adding the changes as regular forum post text, but somehow it completely breaks the forum. Literally, 404 errors, etc...) I get a 403 error if I paste it into the post/PM editor and try to preview it. It's caused by the iframe tag, or rather, an XSS filter on the server which does not like...

Re: PC-98 (PC-9821 / PC98)

For PC-98, I'll get filenames such as d_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH_HH.png, because each half-block (2 of which I get from iBlock, 2 from iModif) consists of 16 bytes. Or.... even 16x4 times HH for one tile image? It's labor-intensive work to create all these PNG images, and I've s...

Re: How to replace DOS Sprite to Mac Sprite in SDL Pop?

Out of curiosity, question, I'm wondering why you added "_2" and didn't update the original. Because when I tried to merge the original double_size into master, I got some modify/delete conflicts, and I had no idea how to deal with those. These conflicts appeared because the double_size b...

Re: How to replace DOS Sprite to Mac Sprite in SDL Pop?

I have updated the existing double_size branch to be based on the latest SDLPoP version, and added the double-sized graphics.

Re: Skeleton Swaping: CusPop

When the skeleton respawns in the room below, it skill is reduced to level 2 like in the original level 3. How do I change this? I can't reproduce this. I tried changing the skeleton's skill to 7 (level 8 first guard) and 8 (does not attack), first keeping the skeleton event on level 3, then moving...

Re: Skeleton Swaping: CusPop

For my mod I need the the skeleton to wake up where jaffar stands in level twelve, but then in level 10. So these are my settings: As expected, it did not work. Did you put a skeleton (on the floor) to the place you have set? Note that rows and columns are counted from 0, so row 1 is the middle row...
