Re: PR 1.3.1 pre-release 2

./pr -f --resource=pop2.xml --export=/home/norbert/test/resources PoP2/ROOFTOPS.DAT Running this gets stuck: [...] Running this finishes successfully: ./pr -f --resource=pop2.xml --export=resources PoP2/ROOFTOPS.DAT So, the only difference is the export path? That's odd. This is what PR does for me...

Re: PoP videos / images

Three images by castpixel (Christina Antoinette Neofotistou). In Pico-8 format, so 128x128 pixels (scaled x3 for the images), 4-bit (= 16 colors). Nice! FYI, this is her original post: https://twitter.com/castpixel/status/906562537445056512 And this is Mechner's reaction: https://twitter.com/jmechn...

Re: MININIM updates

This update video talks about Lua and Video Modes. Hope you enjoy! So, now we can use DOS and Mac graphics, and even automatically alternate between the two every second. :) At 9:00-9:30, you speak about putting more stars onto the sky, but I don't see any... That might be because the video plays o...

Re: Settings window

I'm experimenting with adding a menu bar to the SDLPoP main window, taking inspiration from oitofelix's recent additions to MININIM, It looks like Allegro (which is used by MININIM) has built-in support for menus: http://liballeg.org/a5docs/trunk/native_dialog.html#menus That's why he could add it ...

MININIM website breaks with HTTPS

If I open this URL in Firefox: https://oitofelix.github.io/mininim/
I get some mixed-content warnings on the console. The images load but the style sheets don't.

Re: Short films between levels

I tried to do this again, but it doesn't work anymore. It used to work three years ago, but now when I open the modified exe file, the game will freeze while displaying "Loading...". It happens for both my cuspop-generated exe with modified parts copied from the David's exe and for the David's file...

Re: Multiple Choice Image Quiz

My answers: (7-9) 7. B. 8. A. "hail". It's hard to forget such an unusual word. :) 9. D. If you're fast enough, you can get out through the still-open gate before the mouse comes. You can't jump over to the other side, but you can still go around. And then you can do A. Hey. For some reason, it the ...

Re: PR 1.3.1 pre-release

I don't know if my previous rename suggestions in this thread have been implemented (didn't check (yet)), but here are a couple more issues I found with resources.xml. I have done the first two: https://github.com/NagyD/PR/commit/febd35003527f2126f50941c6ca4d7362d7a4429 For the first, I chose to al...

Re: popot.org

Probably not important, but... I figured out why does IE8 display a certificate error for https://www.popot.org/ . (This is probably also why Total Pack can't connect to PoPOT on Windows XP. See also this post: http://forum.princed.org/viewtopic.php?p=21666#p21666 ) Wireshark shows that Firefox send...

Re: PoP1-Total Pack: New version development

Version 3.01 "Invalid Enum value". I don't know if it's the latest one, but, it needs to have modified .ini Version 3.5 is the latest: https://www.popot.org/other_useful_tools.php?tool=Total_Packs Also, this sticky thread now contains outdated information, plus doesn't mention the - possibly still ...

Re: SDLPoP; David's open-source port of PoP

Not sure if it brings anything useful for SDLPoP, but there's now a prerelease of SDL 2.0.6: https://discourse.libsdl.org/t/sdl-2-0-6-prerelease/ I tried the new DLL, and at least there are no new bugs, like this one with SDL 2.0.4: http://forum.princed.org/viewtopic.php?p=18142#p18142 This is good...
