Would it be possible to implement the Mega Drive's four extra potions in SDLPoP?David wrote: ↑January 1st, 2023, 2:04 pm We already know that the European Mega Drive version of PoP has extra time potions, and that SNES PoP has a potion which kills the prince instantly.

Re: Mods for Mega Drive / Sega Genesis
Here are some passwords I found by running the latest PoP Remastered Edition v1.3 ROM through strings and by watching the various videos showing off the hack: IM GOD - Prince has 9 lives, has the sword at the start of Level 1, cannot be hurt in combat or by two-story falls. (Chompers, spikes, three-...

Re: Prince can survive at 0 HP!
It's not about the DOS version, but the improved Genesis/Megadrive version by Master Linkuei. In this version, I've managed to get killed in an attack/counter-attack duel... but the prince remained alive , allowing me to kill the guard and move on. All that happened is that the prince's sword disapp...

Re: [PC-98] Official Japanese guide book
@David, could you OCR and translate the pages describing all characters (168 and following)? I'd love to read what Arsys themselves had to say about them. Many thanks in advance! :) Done. It took me some hours... Japanese guide pages 167-175.zip Despite the "ALL OF CHARACTERS" title on pa...

Re: Christmas of Persia
while the guards are pretty tough, they'll eventually advance even if I'm attacking, so just smashing the Shift button and waiting for them to blunder into the sword always works. The guards in level 1 of the original game behave like this as well. Here is why guards with skill 0 advance even when ...

Re: Christmas of Persia
Yes, but usually, guards will not advance into the “hit range” as long as you’re attacking. In the original game, only those in Level 1 do this. Oh, I see. I wasn't aware of this behaviour. I'll never quite understand this behaviour. I can understand inexperienced guards not knowing how to block, b...

Another thing: while the guards are pretty tough, they'll eventually advance even if I'm attacking, so just smashing the Shift button and waiting for them to blunder into the sword always works. The guards in level 1 of the original game behave like this as well. Is this intentional? I think this i...

Re: Christmas of Persia
That was my intention. But they can be interpreted as male with shoulder-length hair as well. I'll interpret them as female then. After all, the protagonist also is. :) Another thing: while the guards are pretty tough, they'll eventually advance even if I'm attacking, so just smashing the Shift but...

Great stuff! I'm not quite sure, but I suppose the enemies encountered on levels 1 and 2 are female? Are they elves?teljesnegyzet wrote: ↑December 9th, 2022, 12:31 am This is my first mod. It features altered sprites, graphics, levels, sounds, music, intro and outro.

Re: [PC-98] Official Japanese guide book
Wow, many thanks for that :) The guy on level 13 is "teh General", I see. The drawings of the various characters are beautiful. Now I wish there was such a guide book for the SNES version, for obvious reasons... @David, could you OCR and translate the pages describing all characters (168 a...

I discovered this too at some point and thought it was pretty funny. On the other hand, the poor creature has to make do without a brain, so let’s cut him some slack
