Yeah it is quite different from the original. Personally I like it.

Re: MIDI (.mid) files
I've discovered a funny thing in the MIDIs of PoP1 v1.0 and the other versions. The v1.0 MIDIs are in type 1 format but the others are in type 0 format. My theory as to why that is: the track 0 of v1.0 MIDIs contain sysex in track 0, presumably to specify how long the song lasts, though if you use a...

Re: Some funny sounds
The messages are stored in midi info.bin (PoP1) and PRESET41.DEF (PoP2). It seems to be psuedo-MIDI sysex stuff but I don't know if it can be opened by any MIDI editor. Thanks! How did you manage to decode the files though in order to locate those strings in them? I didn't. I just found them there ...

Re: SDLPoP; David's open-source port of PoP (pre-release)
[ Falcury submitted his post while I was writing mine. ] If after the start of the game you resize window, I suggest these values remember when closed the game. And the next time you start the game, windows size will restored . There is already code (options.c) to load settings from SDLPoP.ini. The...

I noticed that SDLPoP still has no icon but I've made a better one than the one I made last time.
