Re: Battle Hardened: Nazaam's Revolt
This is hopefully the last one and the version is final... I've updated it again. Thanks a lot for the support Norbert. By the way, if you feel Total Pack could use DOSBox differently, you could post in this thread . Even though starwindz hasn't been around for a while, he (told me he) still has pl...

Re: Battle Hardened: Nazaam's Revolt
Sorry Norbert, I've tested out again and despite Setup adjustment it still forces itself into soundblaster. Now my last resort is copying over the midisnd dat files from Andrew's pop1.3, and it sounds like the original again. Sorry for the multiple updates. This is hopefully the last one and the ver...

Re: Battle Hardened: Nazaam's Revolt
Hi Norbert, I just tested out from Popot just mins ago. In Total Pack it ignores the Roland setting, and goes straight to soundblaster. I have readjusted. The Music Synthesizer is PC Speaker. No other choice, but I now understand why Lost in the Forest 1 in Total Pack needed to have PC speaker setti...

Re: Battle Hardened: Nazaam's Revolt
My Dosbox is removed, so it's like a typical PoP1 package. This may be used in POPOT
EDIT: old version removed

Re: Battle Hardened: Nazaam's Revolt
Hi Norbert! It's nice that you continued expanding the story. :) Thanks! :) So far most new mods focus on their levelset designs and nothing much else changed. Just only a small group like your excellent mods, Programmer's, Musa's, The Great Escape, Princess of Persia, KX-out of time having their cu...

Re: Battle Hardened: Nazaam's Revolt
I'm in the midst of creating a trailer, and will edit the 1st post in a few hours... But just to clarify, honestly when a trailer was first made (for Battle Hardened 3), the intention was totally different. The trailer wasn't really meant to generate interest in the mod, or show off gameplay and mod...

Battle Hardened: Nazaam's Revolt
Hi everyone, After the release of my last original mod Battle Hardened 3 and a lapse of 5 years, this is another new Battle Hardened mod and expanding the story arc a bit more :) (Split Levels and the SNES games are conversions and I don't count them as original mods) The mod's name is as per the to...

Re: Midi music for Prince v1.3
Hi Norbert, David, I realised I was performing all this in my old 32-bit Windows XP. I was wondering if the difference could be due to the newer 64-bit and later Windows versions. Also for Windows, there is a default or built-in MIDI stuff at least in my computer (win32 in dosbox?). I was testing va...

Re: Setting a skill 12 Guard bug
RS v1.8 Release 25 Referring to the above latest release... Note that RoomShaker currently lists skills from 0-12 when choosing Guard->Guard Here, maybe you meant to list 0-11. Change Skill is the same with Apoplexy. However now with Guard Here there is a 13th skill guard with 'Skill 12' in additio...

Re: Midi music for Prince v1.3
Perhaps:-
Is the original music working 1st if set to Roland
Then after replacing them with the new DAT files, are they working?
Not sure if some tweaking is needed in dosbox options - unless only new DAT files don't work but the original files can work.

Midi music for Prince v1.3
Initially thought of releasing this only upon completing my mod, but felt of sharing this anyway instead. Took the weekend to try out various songs before settling on this set of VGMs. NOTE: This does not work well with Soundblaster in dosbox as the sounds will be warped and distorted. Pls do not us...

Re: What are you working on?
Following in the footsteps of the below people if one is working on a new PoP mod ;) Mod of PoP, "The Son of the Vizier". Finishing 11 level. I'm working in my mod (it took me 10 years, and still there are lots of things to do) I guess it's what you mentioned here: http://forum.princed.org...

Re: MIDI (.mid) files
Thanks Norbert.
Perhaps I would try these out in the future as for now I'm accustomed to the DOS version
Btw would the midi sounds be the same when converted to OGG form and not warped like in Dosbox soundblaster?

Re: MIDI (.mid) files
Been trying out the steps in the first post by Norbert and it works! It's unfortunate that in v1.0 the sounds are distorted and totally different from the original midi. However if by using v1.3, the music is fairly better - in Setup you need to set Roland MT-32 for Music Synthesizer. Using SoundBla...
