Re: SDLPoP v1.18 pre-release

So, can I make a final v1.18 release now? I would still change const char quick_version[] = "V1.16b4 "; Let's say, for argument's sake, that there have been 3 different quick save formats and this is the third iteration. Then this should say V0.3 or something similar. Because now the version number...

Re: New trick by Aram

I think it's similar to what happens here. 00105 Maybe if there's a closed chomper at an edge, the prince can always pass it. The question would then be what prince action both videos have in common. I think maybe you're pressing right just before going into the chomper. (This thread should probably...

For most files, you're really close now.

Re: MIDI support

Impressive progress.
Is it just my imagination or is the playback (of, for example, Heart.mff) more crisp than what DOSBox gives us?

Re: apoplexy v3.2 released

Oh, by the way, if you're on Windows and want to test the new auto-download functionality, simply empty the prince/ (and/or prince2/ and/or snes/) directory and (re)start apoplexy.
You'll see buttons to download the games. In the past, you'd only get a screen with clickable web links.

Re: Your thoughts on adding a playtest pop-up with options?

I've added the code of the new 3.2 release to GitHub. The program now includes the functionality to retrieve and unpack ZIP files (to customly specified directories), so step 1 of this thread's project is done. Next, I'll be working on adding the overlay that will allow users to download and use SDL...

That also explains what you alluded to here :)
Yes.
This 'you'll see' still to come though, although it might take a while...
(And it won't just be that I'll use it as the program's icon.)

Changed properties of video
About half are now publicly visible.
Here you met Jaffar.

Spoiler: show
In apoplexy, if you press F2, it tells you where the princess is.
She's in room 1, in level 9.

(As I wrote here...)
Almost all those videos are set to private.
This means only you can see them.

Re: Apple II port to BBC Master computer

Hm, going by what David writes there are still some showstoppers.
In particular the crashes, although being able to crouch-hop would also be nice.

But I did not save the princess, [...]
You did battle Jaffar. :)
Spoiler: show
The princess is not in level 14; she is in level 9.
Don't enter the level exit door in level 9.
Instead, go right and drink the blue potion to open a gate.
(You can press F2 in apoplexy to see where the princess - the "Win:" - is.)
