Re: Math problems

I tried to use pastebin to write the following problem, with

$$ equation $$

using also texpaste.com, but it doesn't work. You should be able to use something like $$ E=mc^2 $$ in texpaste.com without problems. Link: http://www.texpaste.com/n/bvbkcxq2 Backup: $$ E=mc^...

Re: Code Indentation: Tabs Versus Spaces

Are you planning similar documents about other aspects of coding style? :) No, life's too short. :) Btw, the forum does something odd with tabs: t t t tt t ttt t Each tab becomes 3 spaces. Not a tab-stop at every third character position, but always 3 spaces. Not odd. Fixed tab stops are not (yet w...

You could give The Talos Principle a try.
Then again, you wrote you never buy games (online).

Hey, I'm looking to play that game some time.

It's currently on sale.
The bundle including DLC, or just the base game.

Re: Math problems

By the way, is there any way to use Latex here? Well, the official LaTeX forum (latex.org/forum) also uses the phpBB forum software, and they use JavaScript code to present LaTeX content in new browser tabs using Overleaf . Example link in a post here . But unless you expect to use lots of LaTeX on...

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)

I think when it comes to engagement and attracting (both old-timers' and newcomers') interest and attention, it's unwise to publish 'news' weeks or even months after releases and publications took place. To give an example, a reader might be more inclined to retweet news about something that just ha...

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)

Maybe phpBB has a plug-in that automatically posts new threads' headlines of a certain board to Twitter or Facebook. Then if we put Twitter and Facebook feeds on the frontpage (http://www.princed.org)... ...people could just post in the Announcements board. No admin would ever need to create Tweets,...

Code Indentation: Tabs Versus Spaces

Well, I created this document.
Code_Indentation_Tabs_Versus_Spaces.pdf
Took me longer to write than I expected, but I like the result.

Re: princed.org (phpBB forum + webpages)

No more news since April?? The Facebook and Twitter pages of Princed do not have all news. Since the last posts on Facebook and Twitter, nine mods were added(*) and two programs got new versions (Total Pack v3.5 and drawmap v0.4). The http://www.princed.org main page also doesn't mention that news,...

Re: Math problems

Not related to topic, but just for fun, let's check out who thinks as a programmer and who as a mathematician. Write a simple code that sums the all previous numbers (and that number). For example sum(10) would be 1+2+3+...+10. As a programmer, when I need to use (that kind of) math, I Google. Then...

Re: Math problems

How many numbers exist between 1 and 1.000.000 that are divisible by either 11 or 13, and no other number (except 1, and themself, of course)? Three numbers: 121, 143 (by both) and 169. At least, that's what my basic code tells me. No guarantees the code is correct. The code could probably be a lot...

Re: Random off-topic stuff

Not really my kind of music, but it's pretty funny how they asked people for help putting it together (as documented in the video itself).

Actually, this one is pretty cool too:
